Numbers became stories, formulas became inspiration, and learning became a celebration. Mathematics Festival 2026was more than just an eventโit was a gathering of passionate minds committed to breaking barriers and redefining the future of mathematical education.
With the theme, โBreaking Barriers in Mathematics: Advancing Gender-Responsive, Inclusive, and Innovative Mathematical Education,โ and the tagline, โCelebrating Diversity, Innovation, and Excellence in Mathematics,โ this festival became a platform where knowledge, creativity, and inclusivity came together.
This remarkable event was proudly organized by the CTE Mathematics and Science Department in collaboration with the Math Wizards' Federation, under the leadership of Dr. Sherelle Lou Sumera Icutan, Adviser and Program Head of the Mathematics and Science Department, together with Dr. Cris Tina Solomon, Co-Adviser.
With the dedication, teamwork, and excellence of the faculty of the Mathematics and Science Department and with the great efforts of the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics students, this mathematics festival is a success.
Our sincere gratitude to our guest speaker, Dr. Carlene Picar-Arceo, UP Diliman Professor, and Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) National Secretary, for sharing inspiring insights, meaningful experiences, and valuable knowledge that empowered every participant.

Organized by University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao in partnership with Mathematical Society of the Philippines CAR, Regions 1 & 2, and under the leadership of its President, Madam Sherelle Lou Sumera Icutan, MS Math, the congress highlighted innovative mathematical research with real-world applications.
Our students did more than represent UCU, they demonstrated the power of mathematics in solving complex problems. Their impressive collection of awards reflects not only academic excellence but also creativity, analytical thinking, and innovation, the very skills that define mathematicians, educators, and problem-solvers.
Aligned with the congress theme, โInnovative Horizons: Advancing Research in Engineering Sciences and Mathematics,โ our students presented research that applies mathematical principles to address real challenges. From modeling environmental systems to developing data-driven solutions, their work shows that mathematics is more than numbers; it is a tool for meaningful change.
