Awarded on May 11, 2026, in Intramuros, this accreditation recognizes UCU’s eligibility to implement cultural and artistic projects. This milestone also opens greater opportunities for the university community to participate in national cultural programs, heritage preservation, and the promotion of the arts.

Last May 6, 2026, a colorful and meaningful event entitled “Philippine Tourism, Geography, and Culture” was successfully conducted. The activity highlighted the creativity, talent, and cultural awareness of the participants through their beautifully designed costumes inspired by different places and traditions in the Philippines.

The event aimed to promote appreciation for the country’s rich cultural heritage, diverse geography, and well-known tourist destinations. Participants showcased their talents in costume-making by representing various regions from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Each costume reflected the identity, traditions, and unique characteristics of the place they represented.

The participants confidently presented their own designed costumes inspired by famous cultural symbols, festivals, and tourist attractions from different parts of the country, including Baguio City, Cebu, Bacolod City, and Lucban Quezon. Their costumes featured vibrant colors, indigenous materials, and creative designs that reflected the beauty and diversity of Filipino culture.

Aside from the costume presentation, participants also shared information about the geography, culture, and tourism of the places they represented. This helped the audience gain knowledge and understanding of the traditions, lifestyles, and tourist destinations found across the Philippines.

The event became more exciting because of the enthusiasm, confidence, and teamwork shown by the participants. Their efforts and creativity demonstrated not only their artistic skills but also their love and pride for Filipino culture and heritage.

Overall, the activity was a great success. It served as an educational and entertaining experience that encouraged everyone to appreciate and preserve the beauty of Philippine tourism, geography, and culture. The event truly showcased the talents and unity of the participants while celebrating the rich identity of the Filipino people.

From its debut in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 at 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟮𝟴𝟭 worldwide, UCU surged to 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟰𝟰 in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 and now rises to 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟮𝟴 globally in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞-𝗧𝗢-𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞—emerging as one of the first Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) in the country to achieve this global milestone and solidifying its place as the Philippines’ Most Innovative University.
