Yesterday May 14, 2026 the HERO Organization proudly launches the BYO Movement: Bring Your Own, Save Our Own — a campus-wide initiative that encourages everyone to bring reusable bottles, utensils, containers, and eco-bags as a step toward a cleaner and more sustainable university community.

Every reusable item we bring helps reduce plastic waste and protects the environment for future generations. Change starts with simple daily choices—and together, we can make a difference. 🌱

From its debut in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 at 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟮𝟴𝟭 worldwide, UCU surged to 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟰𝟰 in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 and now rises to 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟮𝟴 globally in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞-𝗧𝗢-𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞—emerging as one of the first Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) in the country to achieve this global milestone and solidifying its place as the Philippines’ Most Innovative University.

The HERO Officers, together with our Supportive Dean, Adviser, faculty members, and students of CHTM, proudly participated in Danggayan iti Linteg 2026: The Unified Legal Aid Service – Promoting Gender-Responsive Development, held on April 21, 2026 at the Balikbayan Hall, Urdaneta City Cultural & Sports Complex.

From the insightful seminar to the delivery of legal services, this initiative emphasized the importance of awareness, inclusivity, and community empowerment. Through our collective participation, we continue to support programs that promote equality, justice, and gender-responsive development.

Yesterday, March 26, 2026, the HERO Officers, with the support of our Organization Adviser, Ma’am Mary Grace N. Marata, together with our College Dean Ma’am Mary Rose Uy, Tourism Department Head Sir Marc Jillian Macaraeg, and Extension Coordinator Sir Nathanael Estrada, visited Cayambanan Elementary School to plant seeds and seedlings.

It may seem like a simple activity, but for us, it means so much more. We’re not just planting vegetables—we’re planting hope, learning, and a better future for the community.

Through this extension program, we hope to encourage sustainability, support food security, and inspire young students to care for the environment. This is our small way of contributing to the SDGs 1, 2, 3, 13, 15, and 17.
