20th Sunday in Ordinary Time | 8:00-9:00am | 8-16-26
Today, we celebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass presided by our Parish Priest and School Director, Rev. Fr. Kristoffer Allan C. Soriano. In his homily, Fr. Allan reminded us of the importance of faith, perseverance, love, and hope in facing the different trials and challenges that we encounter in life.
Habang May Buhay, May Pag-asa. Habang may buhay, may pagsubok.
In our life, full of trials, stimulation, and challenges, these challenges and difficulties along the way weaken us, but we do not surrender.
Habang may buhay, may pagbabago.
We are resilient people. We do not give up easily. We rise up every time we fall, despite the difficulties in life.
Habang may buhay, mayroong pag-ibig.
Everything is possible to the person who loves. Every time we watch on the news, we saw corruption. We see many problems and difficulties in our society and in our lives. Sometimes, these things can make us feel afraid and hopeless. But because our love must prevail over fear and hopelessness. Habang may buhay, may pag-asa, dahil tayo ay nagmamahal.
There is no such thing in your studies as hopeless because we know that we sacrifice for it, together with our parents. We continue to study, we continue to persevere, because we know that our sacrifices have a purpose.
The love of God is greater than our fears and difficulties we encounter. His love is greater than our darkness in our life. The Lord never surrenders with us and He never abandons us.
So, if the Lord loves us, what can we offer back to Him?
We can offer our love to Him, because all things are possible because we love. We must strengthen ourselves to persevere in our life, no matter what happens, because in the end, God gives us His love for us.
And therefore, habang may buhay, may pagsubok; habang may buhay, may pagbabago; habang may buhay, mayroong pag-ibig; at higit sa lahat, habang may buhay, may pag-asa.
Because as long as we have God, as long as we continue to love, and as long as we continue to have faith, there is no such thing as hopeless.
Let us continue to persevere. Let us continue to love. Let us continue to have faith. Because the love of God is greater than our fears, greater than our difficulties, and greater than the darkness in our lives.
“Habang may buhay, may pag-asa, dahil tayo ay nagmamahal.”
