๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ | Book Lovers Club Leads 34th Library Information Science Month Celebration
๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ญ | ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐, ๐๐๐๐ โ The Book Lovers Club (BLC) of Upi Agricultural School, led by President Cesar Cabale, successfully organized the 34th Library Information Science (LIS) Month Celebration with the theme โLibVOCACY: Unity Toward Inclusive and Empowered Libraries.โ
The celebration began with a lively parade from the Administration Building to the UAS Covered Court. Students from Junior High School, Senior High School, and the College Department joined the parade, dressed as their favorite book characters.
BLC President Cesar Cabale Jr. warmly welcomed the guests, teachers, staff, and students during his opening remarks.
Dr. Nympha D. Sapan, the College Assistant Head, gave an inspiring message. She explained the importance of the library as a source of knowledge and information. She also encouraged students to visit the library regularly and make reading a daily habit to prepare for a better future.
Former officers of the Book Lovers Club were honored during the event. Certificates and tokens were given to them by Mrs. Marnelli Murillo, RL, and Dr. Sapan.
Several fun contests were held during the celebration, such as:
- Book Character Costume Modeling
- Spelling Bee
- Book Face Photography
- Scrapbook Making

โข Junior High School won Mr. and Ms. Eye Catcher for portraying Poseidon and Aphrodite.
โขSenior High School won Most Creative Costume for Female for portraying Catwoman.
โขMaria Net Ekira B. Gomez (as Catwoman) and Kevin S. Torres (as Dracula) won Best Introductory Speech and were crowned Mr. and Ms. Book Characters 2024.

The program concluded with a closing message from Mrs. Marnelli D. Murillo, RL, the school librarian and BLC adviser. She thanked the officers and students for their creativity, hard work, and active participation in making the event a success.
