📖 Let's Talk About Isaiah 60:22
"When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen."
Ang kumpletong passage ay,
“The least one shall become a clan,
and the smallest one a mighty nation;
I am the Lord;
in its time I will hasten it. (Isaiah 60:22, ESV)”
It’s become a popular "achievement" verse. Sadly, this common usage actually misses the heartbeat of what God is saying.
Mga vulnerable at diminished people. Hindi sila nagse-celebrate ng achievements. Nagi-struggle silang maka-survive.
Nung sinabi ng LORD, "I am the LORD," He is invoking His covenant name, “YHWH” (napakagandang usapin rin ito). Hindi ito reward for our hard work or our hustle. It’s a guarantee rooted entirely in God’s unchanging character and power.
Becoming a "mighty nation" is about God transforming His people hindi ng individual success stories.
It’s a corporate promise, not a personal business strategy.
So what is the true application?
Nanliliit ka ba? Pakiwari mo nao-overlooked ka? Insignificant, or diminished? Isa ka bang Christian na nagi-struggle within and without? Discouraged?
We don’t achieve His promises; we receive them at His appointed time.
Kung kino-quote mo itong verse na ito para sa mga successes mo, let me gently suggest: read it again in context. It is so much richer! This verse isn't about what you've achieved. It's about what God promises to do for His people, in His time, by His power.
Let's be people who read the Bible in context hindi lang for motivation, but for deep transformation.
Ikaw, anong thoughts mo? Have you seen this verse used this way? How does understanding the original context change how you read it?
