UMINGAN II GIRL SCOUT WEEK AND SCOUTING MONTH
CELEBRATION 2024
Theme: “ Empowering Girls thru Challenge of Well-Being and Spirituality”.

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) Week Celebration in Umingan District II on November 23, 2024 was a vibrant and memorable event focusing on camaraderie, creativity and talent.

This year’s celebration was packed with exciting competitions that brought out the best in every participant.

One of the highlights was the Face Painting Contest, where young artists showcased their creativity and precision by transforming their peers into stunning work of art inspired by the GSP’s core values.

Another crowd favorite was the Zumba Competition, where teams danced energetically to lively music, promoting fitness and teamwork.

The Cheer and Yell Competition filled the venue with enthusiasm as Girl Scout troops displayed their unity and spirit through coordinated chants and cheers.

Finally, the event culminated with the much-awaited Search for Ms. Escoda.

This celebration highlighted the diverse talents and dedication of the Girl Scouts while fostering unity and pride within the scouting community. It was truly a day of fun, learning and empowerment.

Umingan District II joins Cluster EPP Technolympics 2024

To develop the skills of today and the future generations was the end in mind as Umingan II contingent participated in Cluster EPP Technolympics on November 14 at Cabalaoangan ES, Rosales Pangasinan.

The said contest was participated by four municipalities which include Umingan, Rosales, San Quintin and Natividad.

District EPP Coordinator Dr. Armando V. De Guzman, Principal II of Maseil-seil Alo-o ES would like to thank everyone for raising the banner of Umingan II in the said Technolympics.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ruby A. Balignasay, Public Schools District Supervisor of Umingan II said that through unity and hardwork success shall never just be a dream but a reality.

This is the road for the Division Level Qualifiers. Kudos to all the pupils, coaches, School Heads of the following top 3 winners in various categories:

Umingan District II congratulates 4 NQESH passers from our very own District.

The successful examinees were as follows:

Lea C. Badua, HT-I, Don Alberto Vergara ES
Remelyn A. Nocasa, HT-I, Diaz ES
Analyn Pablo, MT-I, Gonzales ES
Myra R. Saberola, HT-III, Baracbac NHS

They were among the 107 passers from the entire SDO Pangasinan II. Our Division has recorded a 36.73% passing rate.

The National Qualifying Examination for School Heads or NQESH is a way of the Department of Education to assess qualified Principal I in the field. Passing the NQESH is one of the most preferred qualification standards to become a Principal. This test is being administered nationwide.

Dr. Ruby A. Balignasay, Public Schools District Supervisor said she is very proud of these four NQESH passers and excited to see them as full fledged Principal. She also added that may this achievement be an inspiration for others to desire and dream in becoming a school leader in the future. She also extended her congratulations to ma'am Eden M. Viado, Head Teacher of Cabalitian ES of Umingan District I for passing NQESH.

Umingan District II celebrates Teachers' Day

"To honor unsung heroes for the unwavering commitment and dedication in the field of education, my fellow teachers, this is our day!" These are words from Dr. Ruby A. Balignasay, Public Schools District Supervisor of Umingan II in her speech during the culmination of Teachers' Month on October 4, 2024 at San Vicente Integrated School.

It was an empowering and a fun filled activity featuring presentations from cluster 1 to 5 in the Elementary together with Baracbac NHS, Maseil-seil Alo-o NHS, and Prado NHS in the Secondary with the special participation of Non-Teaching Personnel. The said presentations filled the air with so much joy as teachers exhibited creativity and grace. The superb performances were indeed masterpieces.

Games and exciting prizes were at stake during the duration of the program which made the celebration jubilant.

Ma'am Marilyn N. Sumangil, the President of the Teachers' Club said "your cooperation in this program is beyond measure which made all things possible."

Meanwhile, Dr. Frederick R. Bello, Principal III of the host school the SVIS thanked everyone in coming together as one and made sure that warmth and hospitality of their personnel shall be felt by all.

Dr. Remelyn A. Nocasa, Head Teacher I of Diaz ES, ma'am Mina A. Quizon, Head Teacher III of Bantug ES and Dr. Myra R. Saberola, Head Teacher III of Baracbac NHS also shared their expertise on Quality Management System, Flow of Manuscript Submission and Income Generating Project respectively.

Hon. Tyrone Agabas, Municipal Mayor of Tayug also graced the event with an inspiring message, a tailored fit for teachers.
