As we go into another full week of school, work, and family life, it’s completely natural to plan our schedules, set goals, and organize our days.

Let us be reminded today that trust in the Lord isn’t about ignoring our intellect or skipping thoughtful planning—God gave us our minds to use wisely! Rather, it’s about where we place our reliance. “Lean not on our own understanding” means recognizing that while our human perspective is always limited, God sees the whole picture. There is a difference between setting our own plans and praying, “Lord, here is my plan, please bless it,” versus coming to Him first and asking, “Lord, what is Your plan, and how can I be obedient to it?” Instead of just informing Him of our decisions, submitting our ways to Him means inviting His direction before we even take the first step. When we yield our ideas to His wisdom, He clears the obstacles and directs our paths.

Here is how we can bring this heart of trust into our week:
📌 For our School Team: It means planning with excellence, but holding those plans with open hands. Whether you are creatong lessons, managing administrative systems, coordinating projects, or keeping our physical campus safe and clean, bring your daily tasks to the Lord first. Ask for His guidance, and remain flexible when He redirects your steps to serve a bigger purpose.
📌 For our Students: It means using the mind God gave you to study hard and prepare well, while trusting that He is guiding your growth. When a concept feels difficult or plans don’t go as expected, remember that you don’t have to carry the weight of the future on your shoulders. Keep doing your best, ask for help, and trust Him step by step.
📌 For our Parents: It means actively seeking God's heart for in making daily family decisions. As you balance work, parenting, and guiding your children through their educational journey, make it a habit to ask God for His wisdom in raising them, rather than relying solely on your own strength or expectations.

This week, before making final decisions, let's write our plans in pencil and bring them to God. Do your best, ask Him for His direction, and trust Him to make your path clear!

Praying for a peaceful, wise, and blessed week ahead for our entire ICA Inc community
—our dedicated school team, our students, and our parents!

🌿 FAITH, FAMILY, & PARTNERSHIP: Being Present Where It Matters Most

After a busy week of schoolwork, goals, and constant focus, the weekend arrives as a much-needed breath of fresh air.

While our minds and bodies need rest, our digital devices often keep us plugged in long after Friday afternoon. Technology is incredible for keeping us connected to friends and family far away, but if we aren’t careful, it can quietly create distance between the people sharing the exact same room.

Stepping away from our screens—even for just a few intentional hours over the weekend—gives our homes room to breathe and allows us to be truly present with our kids.

This weekend, we encourage our ICA Inc. families to try a few simple ways to unplug:
📌 Unplug the Dinner Table: Keep meal times screen-free. Simple, uninterrupted eye contact and conversation around the table go a long way in making kids feel seen and heard.
📌 Step Outside Together: Swap screen time for fresh air. A simple walk or playing outside without phones in hand helps everyone slow down and reset mentally.
📌 Create a Quiet Evening Rhythm: Putting away devices an hour before bed helps kids unwind naturally, setting the tone for restful sleep and a calm Sunday.

Giving our minds a break from constant notifications creates space for deeper faith, real conversations, and genuine rest.

Thank you for walking alongside us in building peaceful, grounded homes. Have a blessed and refreshing weekend, ICA Inc. family! 🤍

💡 THE MID-WEEK FOCUS: A Space to Thrive

In a world full of constant noise and visual distractions, finding a quiet space to focus and think deeply can be a real challenge for young learners.

As part of the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® system utilized at Icthus Christian Academy Inc., our Learning Center protects your child’s focus through individual learning stations (offices/cubicles).

Far from being just a desk, a student’s office is an intentional element of the A.C.E. methodology. It provides a quiet, organized space where students learn to settle in, tune out distractions, and take genuine pride in their daily progress.

Here is why this physical setup plays such an important role in how our students learn:
📌 Protection from Distractions: Having a defined personal space helps children build strong concentration habits, allowing them to complete their work with clarity and efficiency.
📌 Respect for Others: Working in a calm, quiet room teaches students to honor their classmates’ need for focus, building consideration and self-control.
📌 Pride of Ownership: As students demonstrate responsibility and diligence, they earn privileges within the A.C.E. system to personalize their offices. Having a space that feels uniquely theirs builds a sense of stewardship and belonging.

Providing a peaceful, structured environment gives our students the best opportunity to grow academically, mentally, and spiritually every single day.

Thank you for walking alongside us as we cultivate spaces where your children can thrive! 🌟

Partnering with local law enforcement to keep our campus safe, secure, and supportive.👮🏻🚔🚨

Keeping our school a safe, nurturing space for our students is always our highest priority.

Yesterday, officers from our local police station dropped by ICA Inc. for a routine security check and coordination visit. Beyond physical protocols and entry checks, security means protecting our children’s mental and emotional well-being, too. We walked through our security measures and shared with the officers the intentional ways we support our students’ emotional health—ensuring our campus remains a calm, reassuring, and positive environment for them.

We’re grateful for the ongoing support of our local law enforcement in working alongside us to protect our students, inside and out.💜🙏🏼

Thank you, PSSG Kathleen Ruba, PCR PNCO and PCPL Renalyn Mendez, ASST WCPD PNCO, for your time.

Every year, School of Tomorrow Philippines puts on the Educators’ Convention (EDCON)—a major gathering for pastors, school administrators, principals, staff, and learning center supervisors and monitors using the A.C.E. system. It’s designed to be a dedicated space for educators across the country to connect, share real-world insights from their own schools, and grow professionally.

More than just a training seminar, EDCON offers a chance to take a step back, get refreshed, and realign with the heart and biblical values of Christian education.

Travel Day for EdCon - Aug 5
Day 1 - Aug 6

We also usually do a side fun trip with the team but those will be posted in a separate album.

Starting our school week on a Tuesday gives us a longer time to pause, take a breath, and hit the reset button. Whether last week felt smooth or a little chaotic, the Monday Compass brings us the sweetest news today: God’s grace doesn’t operate on yesterday’s leftover energy. His mercies are completely new today.

Every single morning offers a fresh start. We don’t have to carry over last week’s stresses, mistakes, or exhaustion into this new stretch of days. Instead, we can step into our classrooms, offices, and homes knowing that God’s faithfulness meets us right where we are today, with all the patience and energy we need.

Here is how we can embrace this fresh start together:
📌 For our ICA School Team: It means stepping into your space today with renewed joy and a clean slate. Whether you are guiding a lesson, organizing school operations, supporting behind the scenes, or keeping our campus beautiful and safe, take comfort in knowing you don’t have to carry everything at once. God gives us grace specifically for today.
📌For our Students: It means leaving any past struggles or frustration behind. If yesterday or last week was hard, today is a brand-new page! Approach your lessons with curiosity, be kind to your classmates, and remember that you get to learn and grow at your own steady pace.
📌For our Parents: It means breathing a sigh of relief as the kids head back into class today. Parenting takes continuous grace, and God promises to supply it fresh every morning. Trust that your daily care and steady support are making a lasting impact, even in the quiet moments.

Let’s step into this shortened school week with peaceful hearts, ready to see how God’s faithfulness shows up in our daily work and relationships!

Praying for a refreshing, joyful, and blessed week ahead for our entire ICA Inc community — our school team, students, and parents!
