iIN PHOTOS | BNSC College of Teacher Education Conducts Sportsfest 2026

The College of Teacher Education (CTE) of Bohol Northern Star College (BNSC) successfully conducted its Sportfest 2026 on August 9, 2026, with the theme "One Team, One Goal: Fostering Excellence, Unity, and Sportsmanship." The event aims to promote camaraderie, teamwork, and greatness among students and faculty members.

The program started with an invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Awit sa Bohol, and the BNSC Hymn.

The Chairperson of the College of Teacher Education, Ma’am Kaily Mae B. Felisilda, LPT, MAENG (CAR), warmly welcomed the faculty members, and students present on the event. This was followed by an inspirational message from Sir Florence Autor.

Afterwards, the program featured the presentation of participating teams through the Song and Yell Competition, the Oath of Sportsmanship by the athletes, and the formal declaration of the opening of the CTE Mini Intramurals.

The event continued with a lively Zumba session with a Color Balloon Fight twist mass dance, led by first-year CTE students Nikka Tubo and Glace Tindog.

The official opening of the games showcased various sports competitions, including basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, scrabble, e-games, darts, and Larong Pinoy.

IN PHOTOS | BNSC Colleges of Criminal Justice Education and Humanities, Social Science and Communication Hold Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2026

The Bohol Northern Star College (BNSC) College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) and College of Humanities, Social Science and Communication conducted Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2026 on August 8, 2026, at the BNSC Quadrangle, with the theme, “CCJE & BAPOS: The Clash of the Beast.”

The event began with an invocation, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, Awit sa Bohol, and the BNSC Hymn.

The Chairperson of the College of Criminal Justice Education, Ma’am Jovelyn C. Curay, delivered a warm welcome address to everyone present. This was followed by the host’s introduction of the event’s judges and the reading of the criteria to the audience.

After the opening remarks, the candidates presented their production number, followed by song presentations. The awarding of winners in basketball, volleyball, badminton, and e-games came next, recognizing the students’ achievements in various sports competitions.

Adding to the excitement of the day, the candidates showcased their confidence and style in the Sportswear portion. Recognition was then given to the recipients of the Special Awards before proceeding to the Question-and-Answer (Q&A) segment, where the candidates displayed their wit and intelligence.

As the evening progressed, more song presentations were given during the event, followed by another awarding ceremony for the winners of shot put, long jump, and track and field. Later in the evening, the minor awards were presented to celebrate the candidates’ charm and talent.

Finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived—the farewell walk of Ms. Elyza Rose Templa and Mr. Joey Cutamora, followed by the announcement of the winners.

Bringing the evening to a close, Ms. Margjelyn Atoc and Mr. Carl Bantula were crowned the new Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2026.

The event concluded as a celebration of talent, unity, sportsmanship, and camaraderie, bringing together students from the participating colleges through both competition and fellowship.

BNEF Concludes Nutrition Month Celebration with Contests, Recognition

Bohol Northeastern Education Foundation (BNEF) conducted its Nutrition Month celebration on July 31, 2026, at the school campus, carrying the theme, "Sa PPAN, Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat." The event aimed to promote proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and teamwork among students.

The celebration brought together the elementary and high school departments through a series of engaging educational activities. Elementary pupils showcased their talents through presentations emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

High school students also participated in various activities designed to enhance their awareness of nutrition while encouraging teamwork, creativity, and active participation. Interactive games added excitement to the celebration while reinforcing lessons on health and nutrition.

One of the highlights of the program was the Poster Making Contest, where students created artworks illustrating the significance of proper nutrition and healthy living. Another featured activity was the classroom cooking challenge, during which each class planned, prepared, and cooked nutritious dishes. The activity promoted collaboration, meal planning, and the importance of making healthy food choices.

As part of the program, teachers and participants who contributed to the celebration's success were recognized. Michelle A. Galleto received the Inspiring Wellness Leader Award. Ruby Jimenez was presented with the Healthy Habit Role Model Award, Excellence in Promoting Healthy Living Award, and Best Healthy Recipe Creator Award for her commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and preparing nutritious meals. Angelo V. Pesay received the Nutrition Advocate Award, while Lejyl Cutanda was recognized as the Most Active Participant.

The winners of the Poster Making Contest were also announced. Grade 11 secured first place, followed by Grade 9 in second place and Grade 12 in third place for their creative entries reflecting the Nutrition Month theme.

The program concluded successfully, bringing together students, teachers, and school personnel in support of proper nutrition and healthy living. Through the month's activities, BNEF reaffirmed its commitment to promoting nutrition awareness and encouraging healthier lifestyles within the school community.

This humanitarian initiative—organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services in collaboration with the Medical and Dental Office, alongside the Rural Health Unit (RHU) - Ubay, Rotary Club of Ubay, and Philippine Red Cross—aims to foster compassion, civic responsibility, and solidarity.
