National Women’s Month 2024 theme: “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas; Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, patutunayan!
Women’s Month in the Philippines is celebrated every March. Since 1988, Filipinos have dedicated the entire month to celebrating the achievements of the country’s women and raising awareness about domestic violence, sexism, and other hardships that women face daily. This event includes celebrating International Women’s Day, promulgated by the United Nations as a time for people worldwide to discuss civil and human rights and equality for women.
This month we celebrate influential women in our lives and the progress forged by the woman in each and every area of the society. For us a truly influential woman is persistent in making a difference and an impact. She is a vocal and a visible role model consistently and tenaciously being clear about what she stands and advocates for. She is passionate and active mover who believes that any dream can be a reality if one has the courage to fight for it apart from our moms, one of our female role models is our teachers they are hardworking Filipina Mother, Sister and a friend, an inspirational motivator, a genuine and compassionate servant leader and a woman. She is so sure of herself and has a strong moral ground that she cannot easily swayed by something nor someone and epitome of strong woman and embodiment of women empowerment. Now its our time to be the influential woman you admire because we have the power to ripple effects of positive actions.
