Tupi National High School Conducts Successful Clean-Up Drive
In a joint effort to promote environmental stewardship and maintain cleanliness within the school community, the Citizenship Training Program (CTP) of Tupi National High School organized a Clean-Up Drive inside and outside the campus. The event, held on October 11, 2024, this was spearheaded by the CTP Senior Major Officers under the supervision of CTP Coordinator Sir Raul C. Samaniego and facilitators Sir Erwin Briones and Sir Godwin Ayroso.
The Clean-Up Drive focused on clearing litter, sweeping pathways, and maintaining the school grounds. Volunteers from the CTP program, along with Senior Major Officers, joined forces to ensure that the surroundings were well-kept and welcoming for students and staff alike.
The event began early in the morning, with students divided into teams to cover various sections of the campus. Under the guidance of their facilitators, each group was assigned specific areas to clean, extending their efforts to nearby streets and public spaces. The aim was to instill the values of discipline, responsibility, and care for the environment, core principles of the CTP.
CTP Coordinator Sir Raul C. Samaniego praised the dedication of the officers and volunteers, stating, "This Clean-Up Drive is a testament to the leadership and commitment of our CTP officers. They have taken the initiative to make a positive impact not just within our campus, but also in the surrounding community."
The clean-up concluded successfully with bags of collected waste properly disposed of, and the school grounds visibly cleaner and more organized. Many participants voiced their pride in being able to contribute to the cleanliness and beauty of their school and community.
The CTP Senior Major Officers, , are already planning future projects aimed at further enhancing environmental and civic engagement among students, ensuring that this initiative becomes a continuous tradition at Tupi National High School.
