𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗜𝗧 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗨𝗠

𝗧𝘂𝗽𝗶, 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼 – In a celebration of student innovation and academic rigor, the South East Asian Institute of Technology, Inc. (SEAIT) successfully hosted the Student Research Forum on June 11, 2025, at the SEAIT Audio Visual Room. Organized by the Research Development and Extension Office, the event provided a platform for young researchers to present their scholarly work and exchange ideas across disciplines.

The day-long forum was divided into two sessions: morning and afternoon, each brimming with insightful research presentations and spirited academic discussions.

The forum officially opened with an encouraging welcome address from Clar Don L. Evangelio, MEqEng, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who emphasized the importance of research in shaping future professionals. Engr. John Paul S. Tamayo, the school president, followed with an inspiring message, urging student researchers to pursue knowledge with passion and integrity. Dr. Lina A. Mondejar, SEAIT’s Research Director, provided the forum guidelines, ensuring a smooth and transparent competition throughout the day.

A panel of esteemed evaluators, Shiela B. Roma, MPA; Dr. Susana V. Dorado; and Dr. Noemi B. Silva, lent their expertise in assessing each presentation, carefully reviewing the research quality, presentation skills, and poster designs.

𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝙄𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮, 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚

The morning session showcased impressive studies from the College of Information and Communication Technology (CICT), the College of Engineering (CE), and the College of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF). The CICT dominated the awards, securing Best Paper, Best Presenter, and Best Poster, while CE and CAF earned recognition through consolation prizes and runners-up finishes for Best Paper.

𝘼𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙝 𝙄𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝘽𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚

The afternoon highlighted equally compelling research from the College of Teacher Education (CTE), the College of Business and Good Governance (CBGG), and the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE). The CTE stood out, sweeping top honors for Best Paper, Best Presenter, and Best Poster, while CBGG and CCJE also made notable placements as first and second runners-up, respectively.

𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚

The forum concluded with an awards and recognition ceremony, celebrating the dedication and hard work of all participants. Certificates of participation were awarded to all presenters, honoring their valuable contributions to SEAIT’s growing research community.

The event not only spotlighted the impressive talents of SEAIT students but also reinforced the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and research development.

Last Friday, December 2, 2022, held at the School Library, the SEAIT-RDEO concluded its first In-House Review with the theme, “Stronger Research, Development, and Extension in the New Normal”.

We would like to express our appreciation to the administration, speakers, panelists, and students for their valuable contribution to the In-House Review. Our deepest gratitude goes to all who attended and helped to make it such a successful event. Hearing and learning from speakers, panelists, as well as the audience, have shown how research as a development tool can help the locality to promote connectivity.

We are looking forward to conducting another In-House Review, but we are encouraging students to join as well as this is not only exclusive to teachers. We believe that each student encompasses the vision and mission of our school to confidently present their study.

The SEAIT-RDEO has concluded its first In-House Review with the theme, “Stronger Research, Development, and Extension in the New Normal”.

We would like to express our appreciation to the administration, speakers, panelists, and students for their valuable contribution to the In-House Review. Our deepest gratitude goes to all who attended and helped to make it such a successful event. Hearing and learning from speakers, panelists, as well as the audience, have shown how research as a development tool can help the locality to promote connectivity.

The Best Paper and Best Presenter were also acknowledged and were given certificates and incentives as a form of appreciation for their hard work. Different disciplines were presented as this activity is open to all research work (an abstract of each research study is captioned on each photo).

We are looking forward to conducting another In-House Review, but we are encouraging students to join as well as this is not only exclusive to teachers. We believe that each student encompasses the vision and mission of our school to confidently present their study.

[𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄]

SEAIT Research, Development, and Extension Office will conduct its First RDEO In-House Research Review. It is expected to provide the opportunity for the different departments/offices to rationalize the projects to be elevated to the College level for evaluation and competition.

In line with this, it is indeed an honor and our pleasure to invite students, faculty, and staff from this institution to attend the said undertaking to witness the research presentation of our faculty and staff. This will take hold on 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮, 𝗮𝘁 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝗺, 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 (MST Building).

𝐎𝐁𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒
1. To provide a forum within which to present the results of research projects completed in 2022; selected undergraduate theses and institutional research;
2. To provide a venue for discussing prevalent issues and problems;
3. To undertake initial screening of scientific papers for consideration by the RDEO for publication;
4. To provide incentives and motivations for exemplary research; and,
5. To review if these researches are consistent with the research thrusts and directions of SEAIT based on the research conducted.

𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐏𝐔𝐓𝐒
The outputs of the exercise are presented research outputs in 2022; status reports of ongoing all types of funding; awards for distinguished research projects; and scientific papers for consideration by SEAIT for further review and evaluation.
