𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲

With the Civil Service Examination fast approaching, aspiring public servants are stepping up their review preparations. To support them on their journey, the Student Council made reviewing more engaging by providing both hard-copy and soft-copy reviewers. Participants also had the opportunity to answer review questions from a bowl, win a prize, and receive free stickers.

Through this initiative, students were able to strengthen their knowledge, assess their readiness, and boost their confidence as they prepare for the upcoming Civil Service Examination.

Today, August 5, 2026, the CICS celebrated Friendship Day through fun-filled activities such as friendship bracelet making, note writing, and a photobooth, creating meaningful memories and strengthening the bond among students.

Friendship Day reminds us that the strongest communities are built on trust, kindness, and genuine connections. As we continue our journey together, may we always value the friendships we create, support one another through every challenge, and make CICS a place where everyone feels welcomed, appreciated, and inspired.

The College of Information and Computing Science Student Council proudly congratulates the POLITI-KNOWS team for being recognized as one of the Top 15 ASEAN initiatives and recipients of the Asian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS) 2026 SEED Grant.

Special congratulations to Richmond George A. Agustin (Group Leader), a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science student; Eduardo S. Caranguian Jr., proudly representing the College of Information and Computing Science as a Bachelor of Library and Information Science student; and Ma. Chantile Iclain C. Mabazza, also a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science student, for this remarkable achievement through their innovative project, POLITI-KNOWS.

The team is set to participate in the Post-AUS Workshop on August 5, 2026, under the mentorship of Prof. Louis Ng Kok Kwang, Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore, following their successful participation in the Asian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS) 2026 at the National University of Singapore.

This outstanding achievement reflects the excellence, leadership, and innovation of Cagayan State University students while showcasing the value of interdisciplinary collaboration in creating meaningful solutions for the ASEAN community.

The CICS family is especially proud of Eduardo S. Caranguian Jr. for representing the College of Information and Computing Science on the international stage. Your dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence continue to inspire the entire CICS community.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗖𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿

Student leaders from the College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS), Cagayan State University–Carig Campus, participated in the S.P.A.R.K. I.T. for Student Leaders Seminar conducted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office II on July 29, 2026, at Casa Angela, Tuguegarao City.

The seminar covered key topics on the Safe Spaces Act, Magna Carta of Women, Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act, Gender and Development (GAD), the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and CHED's mandates and student development initiatives. These discussions strengthened participants' understanding of ethical leadership, gender sensitivity, legal awareness, data privacy, and their responsibilities as student leaders.

The seminar reaffirmed CHED's commitment to developing competent, responsible, and service-oriented student leaders who will contribute to building safe, inclusive, and empowered academic communities.
