Christian C. Calauagan and Russel Vhon Lasam of the University of Cagayan Valley won four medals in the Dancesport Third Kind Division during the Kilingkikan Festival 2026 on February 15, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium of Peรฑablanca, Cagayan.
The UCV pair secured silver medals in Samba and Cha-cha-cha, and bronze medals in Pasodoble and the Marathon event. The dancesport competition was part of the sports activities lined up for the annual Kilingkikan Festival, a major cultural and sports celebration in Peรฑablanca, Cagayan.
The athletes were coached by Lester Teรฑoso and competed under the supervision of Sports Director Mr. Melgie Guiyab. Their participation was supported by University President Dr. Esther Susan N. Perez-Mari, who continues to advocate for the development of university athletes and SDG 3.
"This four-medal finish shows the hard work and dedication of our athletes, and it adds to the University of Cagayan Valleyโs growing record in regional dancesport competitions,โ said Coach Lester Teรฑoso.

TUGUEGARAO CITY- Pinangunahan ni Mark Angelo Addun ang koponan ng University of Cagayan Valley (UCV) noong Enero 31, 2026 matapos igupo ang Berkeley School of Baguio City, 78โ69, upang maselyuhan ang top seed sa Group B ng NBTC tournament sa ilalim ng .
Kumamada si Addun ng 18 puntos, walong rebounds, at tatlong steals, dahilan upang hiranging Player of the Game sa ikalawang sunod na panalo ng UCV sa Pool B.
Sa panalo, pinanatili ng UCV ang malinis na 2โ0 kartada, kasunod ng nauna nitong tagumpay kontra Batang Natividad ng Nueva Ecija sa elimination round.
Dahil dito, nanguna ang UCV sa Group B at tuluyang umusad sa quarterfinals, kung saan naghihintay na lamang sila ng kanilang susunod na makakatunggali. #

TUGUEGARAO CITY โ With steady hands and veteran poise, Cyrus Bauiran once again took command on January 31, 2026, as the University of Cagayan Valley (UCV) pulled off a convincing victory over Batang Natividad of Nueva Ecija, keeping their unbeaten record intact in Group B of the NBTC tournament under the banner of .
Cyrus Bauiran delivered a standout performance to earn Player of the Game with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals, which showcases his all-around impact on both ends of the floor.
UCV squad showed solid team chemistry, backed by disciplined defense and efficient scoring, which proves why they remain one of the teams to beat in the group stage of the tournament.
With momentum on their side, UCV now sets its sights on its next challenge against Berkeley School of Baguio City, a matchup expected to test the teamโs composure and depth as the NBTC action intensifies.

The UCV Greyhounds Basketball Team emerged victorious against Cagayan State University (CSU) in the finals of the NBTC Local Qualifying Tournament, securing their place as Tuguegarao Cityโs representative at the North Luzon NBC League Regionals from January 30 to February 3, 2026, at the University of Baguio.
During a courtesy visit on January 26, at the office of City Mayor Maila Rosario S. Ting-Que, the team was commended by City Administrator Juanito Calubaquib for their remarkable performance and dedication. Head Coach Alvin Attaban and Assistant Coach Ephraim Liban joined the student-athletes in receiving the recognition.
Interestingly, few standout CSU players who participated in the finals are also included in the roster for the regional tournament, adding depth and experience to the Tuguegarao City squad.
The Greyhounds expressed gratitude to their coaches, parents, and volunteers for their unwavering support, as well as to Governor Edgar Aglipay, Former Congressman Randolph S. Ting, Mayor Maila Rosario S. Ting-Que, and especially to the University President Dr. Esther Susan N. Perez-Mari for their continued encouragement.
Meanwhile, as the Tuguegarao City NBTC hoopers prepare for the North Luzon Regionals, they aim to play hard, play fair, and bring honor to both the University of Cagayan Valley and Tuguegarao City. #
