The participants included research students, faculty members, research teachers, and research advisers, with research students comprising the largest group of attendees.

The webinar was organized by the Center for Engineering Research and Technology Innovation (CERTI), under the University Research and Innovation Office (URIO), in collaboration with the College Mathematics Department of the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE). The activity focused on strengthening participants' understanding and application of statistics in research.

The program opened with remarks from Maโ€™am Jonalyn P. Santos, MSN, URIO OIC Director, followed by a message from Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, EdD, Vice President for Academics and Research. The main session featured Mr. Ernesto M. De Peralta, Jr., Chief Statistical Specialist of the Philippine Statistics Authority Region II, who discussed the role of statistics in research and provided insights on the appropriate handling and interpretation of research data. The lecture was followed by a question-and-answer session, during which participants raised questions and sought clarification on statistical concepts and their application in research.

The activity is part of the University's ongoing efforts to strengthen research competencies through relevant learning and capability-building initiatives. It also supports Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education by providing opportunities for continuous learning and skills development within the academic community.

The webinar concluded with the awarding of a Certificate of Appreciation to the resource speaker and a virtual photo opportunity.
