The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) achieved a 90.00% passing rate in the June 2026 Architecture Licensure Examination, surpassing the national passing rate of 85.08% and producing 18 newly licensed Louisian architects.

RESEARCH | Can statistical software transform the way students learn Statistics?

A recent study examined the effectiveness of JAMOVI Statistical Software in improving students’ academic performance and attitudes toward Statistics using a quasi-experimental and descriptive research design.

The findings revealed that students who used JAMOVI performed significantly better in the posttest than those who received conventional instruction. Beyond improved academic performance, the software also fostered more positive attitudes toward Statistics by increasing students’ confidence in interpreting statistical results and using technology for data analysis.

These results highlight the value of integrating technology-based learning tools into statistics education. By providing an interactive and hands-on learning experience, JAMOVI makes statistical concepts more accessible, engaging, and meaningful, ultimately creating a more positive learning environment and supporting better learning outcomes.

The study underscores the importance of incorporating modern statistical software into classroom instruction to strengthen students’ statistical literacy and prepare them for data-driven decision-making in higher education and future careers.
