Twenty-four (24) meat inspectors from various LGUs in Cagayan successfully participated in the three-day Training on Good Hygienic Slaughtering Practices (GHSP) of Poultry held on September 8–10, 2026.

The training strengthened participants’ knowledge and practical skills in meat inspection, poultry diseases, hygienic slaughtering, food safety, and proper handling of poultry products. CSU–College of Veterinary Medicine resource speakers Dr. Jhaysel G. Rumbaoa and Dr. John Michael U. Tabil shared their expertise on poultry diseases and anatomy, while Dr. Bryan Jerome Bassig actively participated in the training and hands-on activities.
