A veterinarian has many faces: supporting food security as livestock, poultry, swine, and aquaculture veterinarians; caring for companion animals; protecting wildlife; ensuring food safety and public health; responding during disasters; and preventing diseases before they happen.

Across farms, clinics, laboratories, and communities, veterinarians stand watch over the vital link between animals, people, and the environment. Truly, this year's theme couldn't describe our silent heroes more perfectly: Veterinarians: Guardians of Food and Health.

This World Veterinary Day, the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association proudly salutes all veterinarians for their dedication, compassion, and service.
