Meet the newly-inducted officers of the Seniors Research Club for SY 2024-2025!

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The Seniors Research Club of Linao National High School made a remarkable achievement by hosting its inaugural webinar on research writing on September 20.

The title of the webinar, “Writing Strategies for the AI Generation," featured Dr. Paul Kei Matsuda, a distinguished scholar in applied linguistics and Second Language Writing from Arizona State University, USA, focused on valuable insights on AI tools and their role as competent research assistants. He also delved into the issues surrounding AI-assisted research and provided recommendations for teachers and students on when to use or avoid AI in writing.

The webinar attracted a diverse audience of Grade 10, 11, and 12 students who actively participated in interactive discussions, asked questions, and received personalized feedback from the speaker. Dr. Matsuda supported his explanations with practical examples, highlighting key concepts and best practices in writing with AI.

The response to the webinar was overwhelmingly positive, with participants commending the quality of the content and the expertise of the speaker. Many expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn from an experienced professional and gain valuable insights into the writing process.

Looking ahead, the Seniors Research Club is committed to organizing more webinars and events to provide students with continuous learning opportunities, foster networking, and facilitate collaboration with experts in the field.
