The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), Community Service Society (CSS), and The Pioneer successfully celebrated the Nutrition Month 2026 on July 29 at the Senior High School Building. Students showcased their creativity and skills through various competitions that promoted proper nutrition, healthy living, and environmental awareness. The event concluded with an awarding ceremony, recognizing the participants’ outstanding performances.

The Supreme Secondary Learner Government of The University of Cagayan Valley-Senior High School Department officially took their oath of office, making the beginning of their commitment to serve the student body.

Zumba followed, in the support of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being, the SSLG led a Zumba session making the learners, faculty, and staff embrace an active and healthy lifestyle while fostering unity and school spirit.

The said activity marked not just a beginning, but a promise of active leadership and united spirit. Bagong lider, bagong boses!

𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧: 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨

Sa paggunita ng Araw ng Kalayaan, naaalala ng sambayanang Pilipino ang makasaysayang paglaya ng bansa noong Hunyo 12, 1898 mula sa kolonyal na pananakop. Sa kasalukuyang panahon sa Pilipinas, ang diwa ng kalayaan ay patuloy na hinaharap sa iba’t ibang hamon tulad ng kahirapan, disimpormasyon sa social media, at mga isyung panlipunan na nakaaapekto sa kabataan at kinabukasan ng bansa.

Kaya’t ang tunay na kahulugan ng kalayaan ay hindi lamang nakikita sa watawat na iwinawagayway, kundi sa pagiging responsable ng bawat Pilipino. Sa pamamagitan ng tamang pagpapasya, pakikilahok sa lipunan, at pagmamahal sa bayan, naipapakita natin na ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang isang alaala ng nakaraan kundi isang tungkuling isinasabuhay sa kasalukuyan.

𝐒𝐒𝐋𝐆, 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐠𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐚 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐮𝐛𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫

Opisyal nang nagsimula ang bagong school year! Sa pagbabalik ng mga mag-aaral sa kampus, nagsagawa ang SSLG ng maikling panayam upang alamin ang kanilang mga unang saloobin—mula sa kasabikan at kaba hanggang sa mga pangakong "mag-aaral na talaga ako ngayong taon."

Bilang simpleng pagbati, binigyan ang bawat estudyante ng token—isang munting paalala na panibagong taon na naman ito ng mga oportunidad, karanasan, at memories na mas tatagal pa kaysa sa motivation sa unang linggo ng klase.

Maligayang pagbabalik, Seniors! Handa man o hindi, nandito na tayo. Gawin nating makabuluhan, masaya, at hindi malilimutang taon ang School Year 2026–2027.

GOODNESS GRACIOUS, PASUKAN NA?!

Goodness gracious, balik na naman sa maagang gising, random recitations, “Ma’am, pwede po bang mag-CR?”, groupings na hindi mo naman pinili, at mga “Pass your papers” na parang jump scare.

Good luck sa mga future honor students, future crammers, at future absents na sasabihing, “Masakit po tiyan ko, Ma’am.”

At special shoutout sa mga nahuling tumatakas sa school at na-caught on cam sa CCTV — catch na catch on TV!

Panibagong school year, panibagong memories, challenges, at achievements. Kaya tara na, UCVians—let’s make this year count!
