‎A historic milestone unfolds at the Red Eagle Gymnasium today, December 17, 2025, as the Cagayan State University - Carig Campus proudly hosts the Donning Ceremony for the BS Criminology Class of 2025-2026: Batch HIRANMAYA.

As the pioneer batch of the program, these students exemplify the theme "The Badge of Recognition: Embracing Responsibility," marking their transition into the noble calling of law enforcement. The ceremony was graced by our Guest of Honor and Speaker, PBGEN ANTONIO P. MARALLAG, JR., PRO2 Regional Director, alongside university officials represented by Dr. Theresa Dimalanta and Dr. Maricel F. Campañano, who all bore witness to the birth of a new legacy in CSU Carig.

‎With the unwavering support of the College of Public Administration Dean, Prof. Dennis M. Bacuyag, Program Chair Mr. Reynold B. Pattaui, and the dedicated faculty, Batch HIRANMAYA has officially stepped into their roles as future defenders of peace. It was a moment of immense pride as parents and relatives joined in the pinning of ranks, symbolizing the trust and duty now placed upon these pioneers.

𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

The 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒅𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 and 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 – 𝑪𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚–𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒈 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒔, in collaboration with 𝐂𝐏𝐀𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐒𝐂, the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐒𝐅𝐋𝐄, 𝐀𝐅𝐏𝐀, and 𝐎𝐒𝐅𝐖, successfully conducted a community outreach program featuring a Seminar on Senior Citizens’ Rights and Pledges, VAW Awareness, and a Medical Mission held in Gosi, Tuguegarao City on December 6, 2025. This activity reflected the theme “Unity and Resilience: Empowering Gosi Norte and Gosi Sur through Service, Senior Citizens’ Rights Promotion, and VAW Awareness.”

The event was graced by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒂𝒄 𝑳𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒊, Campus Director for Administrative Affairs and Head of MOVE (Men Opposed to Violence Everywhere), whose presence strengthened the advocacy for safe and violence-free communities. Representing the campus administration, 𝑺𝒊𝒓 𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒓 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒂𝒐, Executive Assistant, conveyed the message of the CEO of Cagayan State University–Carig Campus, affirming the university’s continued commitment to community-oriented programs.

The program formally concluded with the closing message of 𝑫𝒓. 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒐, Chair of the Department of Public Administration, delivered on behalf of 𝑫𝒓. 𝑫𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒔 𝑩𝒂𝒄𝒖𝒚𝒂𝒈, Dean of the College of Public Administration, underscoring the importance of academic leadership in community development.

This initiative highlighted the value of teamwork, bringing together education, advocacy, and healthcare to support dignity, protection, and resilience within the community.

Acknowledgment is also given to 𝐒𝐅𝐋𝐄 representatives 𝐊𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐮 and 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐮𝐚𝐧, with their adviser 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐢𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐮𝐚𝐧, the BS Criminology Program Chair 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐢, and the 𝐂𝐏𝐀𝐃 faculty and students from BS Social Work, BS Criminology, and BPA, whose dedication contributed greatly to the success of the activity.

The 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐈 (𝐃𝐒𝐖𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝟐) proudly takes part in the worldwide observance of 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, carrying this year’s theme: ”𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞.”

To mark this meaningful advocacy, students from the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲–𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬, were invited to join the commemoration held at Hotel Carmelita, Tuguegarao City on December 3, 2025.

Participants from Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Bachelor of Public Administration and the Bachelor of Science in Criminology programs represented the campus with enthusiasm and commitment. Special recognition goes to Randy Sumaoang, Aira Buquel, and Rudy Langcay, whose active participation reflects the dedication of young public servants in championing health awareness and community involvement.

The Society of Future Law Enforcers (SFLE) extends its appreciation to these student representatives for contributing to the ongoing campaign toward a more informed, empowered, and compassionate response to HIV and AIDS. Their presence underscores the vital role of youth in building healthier and more inclusive communities.

A fruitful and insightful Symposium on Drug Law Enforcement was successfully held on October 23, 2025 at the Red Eagle Gymnasium, highlighting the importance of strengthening our knowledge and commitment in the fight against illegal drugs.

The event was graced by Dr. Mac Giovanni T. Lagundi, Campus Director for Administration, representing our esteemed CEO Engr. Roger P. Rumpon, MSc; Dr. Dennis M. Bacuyag, DPA, Dean of the College of Public Administration; and Dr. Reynold B. Pattaui, PhD, Program Chair of BS Criminology, together with the dedicated faculty members of the BS Criminology Department.

greatly enhanced the participants’ understanding of the realities and responsibilities of law enforcement in upholding justice.

This event marks another successful milestone for our BS Criminology Program in nurturing competent, disciplined, and law-abiding future law enforcers.
