On October 9, 2024, Cagayan State University conducted the "Updates on CPD Accreditation and CPDAS," aimed at equipping professionals with essential knowledge. The event was attended by university officials, deans, program coordinators, and faculty members. Dr. Mariden Ventura Cauilan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, led the opening remarks.
Resource speaker, Dr. Arnel M. Melad, Chief Professional Regulations Officer of PRC Region 2, highlighted key changes in the CPD requirements during his discussion, which are designed to streamline the accreditation process and enhance accessibility for all professionals. Participants were guided on the latest updates to the CPD system and the importance of staying compliant with evolving professional standards.
Attendees were encouraged to actively participate in a Google form prepared by PRC to test their knowledge on the updates regarding CPD. There was also a Q&A segment that fostered an interactive environment, underscoring the significance of continuous learning in maintaining professional licenses.
As the program concluded, Dr. Giged Tong-Battung, Director for Continuing Professional Development, gave her closing remarks. She expressed gratitude to the resource speakers and participants alike, reinforcing CSU's commitment to supporting professional growth and development in an ever-changing landscape.
