Inspired by her father’s wings, she is now earning wings of her own.

We proudly celebrate Capt. Louna Hanash, Orient Aviation’s first Syrian female pilot trainee to complete her first solo flight released by Capt. Angelo Manuel Liboro.

IN HER OWN WORDS:
“I still remember what it felt like as a little girl, looking at my dad’s pilot uniform, sneaking away to put it on, and dreaming of the day it would actually fit me.

He didn’t just spark my love for aviation; he gave me my first inspiration. And behind every challenging step of this journey, there has been my mom, with her constant prayers, endless strength, and unconditional belief in me.

Today, all of those childhood dreams and years of wishing led to a moment I will never forget: my first solo flight.

This achievement belongs to my dad, who showed me what it means to reach for the skies, and to my mom, who kept me grounded and strong through it all.

Thank you to my instructors and Orient Aviation for helping me turn that childhood dream into reality.

First solo, officially in the books. ✈️

Do you need an aviation degree before starting flight training?

Actually, no. Aspiring pilots can begin flight training without holding an aviation degree, provided they meet the applicable training and medical requirements under the PCAR.

An aviation-related degree can provide valuable industry knowledge, while a degree in another field may also offer additional career opportunities outside aviation. Both aviation and non-aviation background are welcome to pursue pilot training.

From India to the Philippines, she carried a dream and the love and support of her family carried her through it. 🇮🇳✈️

Today, that journey led to a moment she will never forget: her first solo flight.

In her own words:

“For months, every takeoff, circuit, and landing had an instructor beside me guiding, correcting, and preparing me.

Then came the moment I heard, “You have the controls. Go fly.”

The empty seat beside me made everything feel different. The cockpit was quieter, the responsibility was greater, and my heartbeat felt louder than the engine.

But once I lifted off, I trusted my training, flew the pattern, completed my checks, and brought the aircraft safely back to the runway.

My first solo may only be a few minutes in my logbook, but it will stay with me for a lifetime. It reminded me that dreams take courage, discipline, and countless hours of preparation before they finally take flight.

I’m deeply grateful to my family for always supporting me and believing in me, and reminding me of what I was capable of even on the days when I struggled to believe in myself. And thank you to my flight instructors and Orient Aviation for guiding me throughout this journey ”

Not a recent flight, but definitely a moment worth replaying. 🎬✈️

Mr. Amir left the ground as a student pilot and returned with his first solo flight completed on May 27,2026.

In the words of Capt. Mohamad Amir Aldaher,

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my beloved parents, who, after the grace of God, are the greatest reason I have reached this stage in my life. Since my childhood, my father has inspired in me a love for aviation and has always encouraged me to pursue this dream.

Today, as I study aviation, I realize that every step I have achieved is the result of his support, hard work, and belief in me. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to my mother, who has always been a source of strength, support, and confidence. She believed in my abilities during the most difficult moments and encouraged me to keep going and never give up, no matter the challenges.

What I have achieved today would not have been possible without their support, prayers, and continuous sacrifices for me. I pray that God blesses them, protects them, and allows me to always be a source of pride and happiness for them. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to my friends, who have been like brothers to me and have always stood by my side through every challenge and every moment.

Thank you for being part of my life and for your continuous support, which has had a great impact on my success. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Orient Aviation Corporation for being a true pillar of support for every student, providing guidance, knowledge, and encouragement throughout this journey.”
