This 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, we commemorate the freedom won through the courage and sacrifice of those who came before us.

In the years following independence, the Philippines began rebuilding systems shaped by colonial rule. Among these was healthcare, as the country transitioned from a colonial, American-directed healthcare system into a self-governed nationalized system that slowly expanded beyond centers of power to reach more Filipino communities in need.

As we commemorate 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆, may we remember that liberty is not only a legacy to honor but a responsibility to uphold.

In a time that calls for conviction and accountability, we pay tribute to our heroes by choosing to stand for what is right, for what is true, and for our fellow Filipinos. 𝙎𝙖 𝙠𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣, 𝙩𝙪𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜 𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙤 𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙡, 𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙣, 𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣!

Deliberation season comes again—unannounced, yet always familiar. It lingers in the corner of our minds, the “what ifs” that echo louder than certainty. The day that feels longer, heavier, as fear wraps our thoughts—papasa ba ako? umabot ba ko sa curve? or will you once again find yourself standing at the edge, waiting, hoping, and feeling unsure?

These are the days shaped by uncertainties that we try so hard to silence, yet somehow feel all at once.

And, still despite all the uncertainties, we remain deeply rooted—like karamay tree—unyielding against the strong winds. We hold tight and dance with the winds, not because it is easy but because we refuse to be shaken. We endure it all, remain steadfast, trusting that our sacrifices and effort will finds its way to survive the storm. And when the time it ended, you will still be there becoming stronger, steadier, and more certain of the resilience that carried you through when everything else felt uncertain.
