[𝟏𝟕] 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, '𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿.'

𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓, 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕!!! ‎ ‎💓

Our texts are 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝟑:𝟐 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟒:𝟏𝟕, which relate to the ministry of John the Baptist. ‎ ‎

Who is 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁? ‎
- He emphasized that the kingdom of heaven is near ‎
- He is the one who prepared the way for Jesus
- He is the fulfillment of prophecy ‎ ‎In 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝟰𝟬:𝟯, there is a prophecy where Isaiah speaks of preparing the way of the Lord, seeking to comfort believers and give them hope.
- In 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝟭:𝟮𝟯, this prophecy is fulfilled ‎John the Baptist is the one who prepares the way for Jesus. ‎ ‎

Two kinds of people:
‎1. 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁 ‎
- People came from Jerusalem, Judea, and the region of the Jordan to confess their sins. ‎
2. 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁 ‎
- The Pharisees and Sadducees, who were experts in the law, were called a "brood of vipers" by John the Baptist, who warned them to repent. ‎ ‎

𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 ("𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙞𝙖") 🧎🏻
‎• Turning 𝟭𝟴𝟬° away from sin ‎
• 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗶𝗻.

‎How can you tell if someone has 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱? ‎
- 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. ‎ ‎

Look back at last year and assess yourself now do you see the fruit of repentance in your life?

𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭, 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞! 🧎🏻💓

“𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞.” | ‭‭𝟏 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐲‬ ‭𝟒‬:‭𝟖‬ ‭𝐍𝐈𝐕‬‬ 📜

𝑨 𝑩𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝑳𝑱𝑪𝑨! 💓

Today, we heard a motivating and inspiring sermon that spoke directly to our current situation: 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 🏋️.

With the City Meet drawing near, it is natural for fear and anxiety to cloud our minds. We dedicate ourselves to training our 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲, yet we often neglect to train what matters most: 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍-𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 🍃.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗨𝘀:
✧ We need to train 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 our physical figure but our 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 as well.
✧ As students of a Christian School, we are called to train our well-being to be 𝗴𝗼𝗱𝗹𝘆.
✧ The verse concludes with a powerful truth: Physical training is important and valuable, but 𝗴𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲—𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻.

𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥! 💞

𝟮) "𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗶𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗛𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂."

𝑩𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑳𝑶𝑹𝑫, 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕! 🥰

ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴡᴏʀʀɪᴇs ᴏʀ ᴀɴxɪᴇᴛɪᴇs ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴡᴇɪɢʜ ᴏɴ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴍɪɴᴅ ᴅᴀɪʟʏ? 🤔

In our text found in 𝟏 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟓:𝟔-𝟖, it offers a powerful reminder of God's promise to care for us, easing our hearts and calming our worries. When life's anxieties fog our mind 😵‍💫 and bring pain 💔, God's message brings peace and reassurance ❤️‍🩹.

But behind every worries in our life lies many reasons. It may because of 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 🧾, 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 🏫, 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 ❤, and 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 🔜. But in every moment of worrying, there is the LORD caring for you. Call on His name and 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗶𝗺 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, then He will help you and make you His priority.

And there are 3 kinds of worries found in the 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲:
1. 𝐃𝐞-𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐡 (𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒂𝒊𝒏) : This is our problems in our life that we only keep to ourselves.
2. 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡 (𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆) : This is our worry about what will happen in the future, about our tomorrow but we must engrave in our hearts what is said in 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 6:34, “𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. 𝗘𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻.”
✧ 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘓𝘖𝘙𝘋. Amen!
3. 𝐑𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐳 (𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔) : We all possess emotions, we tend to be easily angered and excited that often leads to problems in life. 𝖫𝖾𝗍'𝗌 𝗉𝗎𝗍 𝖼𝗈𝗇𝗍𝗋𝗈𝗅 𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗋 𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝖾𝗆𝗈𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇𝗌.

We experience all these 3 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 and we struggle with these however, the medicine with all these 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏, 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 is the 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱. Amen!

Always remember: 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨. As in 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 1:6-3, here shows how the creatures responded to God when He commanded them. They responded with their 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: ᴡᴀʏʜɪ ᴋᴇɴ!

And as for us whenever the LORD our God commands us, we respond by saying 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻! But not only with voice of course, let us take note to also respond with our 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.
