The CSU-Andrews University Library successfully installed the KOHA Integrated Library System (ILS) for Guising Elementary School, marking another step toward supporting the school’s transition to a more organized and automated library management system.

KOHA is an open-source Integrated Library System designed to support essential library operations such as cataloging, circulation, and online access to library collections. This initiative strengthens the commitment to extending its library expertise and technology-driven services to partner schools and communities. The installation is expected to help Guising Elementary School improve the organization, management, and accessibility of its library resources.

In line with its steadfast commitment to institutional excellence, continuous quality improvement, and strict adherence to international benchmarks, the CSU - Andrews Campus Library conducted a comprehensive internal ISO quality audit on September 3, 2026. The evaluation was spearheaded by Campus Academic Affairs Director, Ms. Shelley T. Pascual serving as the lead internal auditor.

During the evaluation, the University Librarian, Mr. Ronaldo P. Sumait, and the library staff collaborated directly with the auditor, presenting key operational records and confirming compliance across all functional areas.

This internal audit serves as a critical mechanism to evaluate operational workflows, assess resource management systems, and ensure that library operations consistently conform to ISO standards for quality management. Through meticulous evaluation, Ms. Pascual examined procedural efficiency, administrative workflows, and patron service standards, extending beyond physical resource checks to assess system reliability.

By systematically identifying operational risks and recommending strategic enhancements, this audit reinforces our effort to safeguard institutional resources and sustain high-caliber academic support services for all students, faculty, and researchers.
