📖 ✨🇨🇦 I see you. I was once exactly where you are.
My name is Alfred. In 2011, I studied Caregiving at Fil-Canadian School of Healthcare in the Philippines. The road was far from easy. There were doubts, financial struggles, long hours of studying, homesickness, and countless moments when life tried to convince me to give up. But I kept moving forward one step, one lesson, one prayer at a time. Today, I am living that dream as a caregiver in Canada.
The journey tested every part of me, yet it also revealed my true strength.
Caregiving is not just a profession it is a calling. It chooses people with big hearts and steady hands, those willing to show up for others even when they are tired. Every time you comfort a patient, ease someone’s pain, or simply offer your presence, you are doing sacred work. The fulfillment you feel when you make a difference in another person’s life is unlike anything else. That sense of purpose becomes your fuel on the hardest days.
To those still studying, still applying, still waiting for that opportunity abroad, Your struggles are not wasted. Every late-night review, every financial sacrifice, every “no” you hear along the way is shaping you into the compassionate, resilient caregiver the world needs. Dreams this big rarely arrive smoothly but they do arrive for those who refuse to quit. Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep believing that your time is coming.
The distance between the Philippines and Canada (or any other country you’re aiming for) is not only measured in miles. It is measured in perseverance, faith, and heart. You already have what it takes inside you.
