The School Health and Nutrition Unit R02 extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the successful conduct of the Universal Prevention Curriculum on Substance Use, Curriculum 8: Media-Based Prevention Interventions (January 19–23, 2026) at Blue Coast Resort Hotel, Sta. Ana, Cagayan possible.
We sincerely thank DepEd Regional Director Benjamin D. Paragas and Assistant Regional Director Florante E. Vergara for their guidance and unwavering support, and ESSD Chief Joselito L. Narag for his encouragement, and continuous support to the program. We are also grateful to Dr. Cynthia Coronado and Ma’am Girlie Azurin of DepEd Central Office–BLSS, School Health Division for joining and supporting the activity.

Universal Prevention Curriculum on Substance Use, Curriculum 8: Media-Based Prevention Interventions
Kicking off Day 1 of our 5-day training at BlueCoast Resort Hotel, Sta. Ana, Cagayan (Jan 19–23)!
As part of the Universal Prevention Curriculum on Substance Use, Curriculum 8 highlights the power of media in shaping perceptions, choices, and behaviors—especially among the youth.
Throughout this training, our School Health Personnel are strengthened in using media critically and responsibly as a tool for prevention, ensuring that messages delivered in schools are evidence-based, youth-friendly, and protective against substance use. 💙✨
