BSGC students were assigned to the CHaSS Ground area — specifically in front of CHSS R1, along the Legal Aid Clinic and the Female Comfort Rooms. They arrived promptly at the designated time, worked collectively to thoroughly clean their assigned area, and completed the activity by 12:00 noon. This activity served as a meaningful opportunity for the students to practice stewardship, service, and shared responsibility, values essential to their future roles as guidance counselors.

This day marks a profound sacrifice, not just a date on the calendar. Ninoy gave his life believing deeply in our people, our freedom, and our future.

Of course, you can enjoy the day off, sleep in, or take it easy, you’ve earned that rest. But let’s not mistake this for just another lazy long weekend. He fought so we could speak freely, stand our ground, and care for one another.

So relax all you want, but hold onto the real meaning: use your voice well, stand for what’s right, and never take the freedom we have for granted.

The program began with a prayer led by Aleah Taganguin, followed by opening remarks from Program Chair Ms. Babilyn C. Bautista, RGC, RPM.

The assembly moved to the presentation and formal unveiling of the organization’s official logo and official shirt, with an explanation of their meaning and significance. Next was the Election of Officers, facilitated by the Election Committee, where members chose student leaders to serve and represent the organization throughout the academic year.

This activity marked an important step in building the organization’s identity and leadership, supporting the growth and development of future guidance counseling professionals.
