The College of Hospitality Management successfully conducted its Syllabi Enhancement Workshop on July 16, 2026 at Cagayan State University – Lallo Campus, bringing together faculty members from the different CHM campuses to collaboratively enhance and align course syllabi with current industry standards, outcomes-based education, and the evolving needs of hospitality learners. The activity officially commenced with an inspiring message from the Campus Executive Officer, duly represented by Ms. Winniebet Burgos, Administrative Officer V, whose support underscored the University’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous quality improvement.

The workshop featured meaningful discussions, presentations of participating campuses and courses, collaborative workshops, and the sharing of outputs that will further strengthen instructional delivery across the College of Hospitality Management. Through collective expertise and teamwork, participants reaffirmed their commitment to providing relevant, innovative, and industry-responsive learning experiences for every CHM student.

The College of Hospitality Management extends its heartfelt gratitude to the CHM Lallo Campus for the warm hospitality, excellent accommodation, and gracious welcome extended to all participants. Your generosity, dedication, and unwavering support made the activity both productive and memorable.

|| CSU FORGES PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL HOTELS TO STRENGTHEN HOSPITALITY SERVICE TRAINING

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan—Cagayan State University further strengthened its industry linkages after signing separate Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with Pulsar Hotel and Seed Hotel on July 9, 2026, through a virtual signing ceremony via Zoom.

The agreements, signed by Cagayan State University Officer-in-Charge President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez and Pulsar Hotel and Restaurant Manager Mr. Marc Aries B. Taja, and Seed Hotel owner Mr. Isidro R. Duran, establish a collaborative framework for implementing the Guest Satisfaction–Driven Program for Enhancing Hotel Service Quality, a research-based capability-building initiative anchored on the university's study, "Guest Satisfaction on the Services of Hotels in Tuguegarao City."

Under the partnership, Cagayan State University, through the College of Hospitality Management in Andrews, Aparri, Gonzaga, Lallo and Sanchez Mira, will develop and implement an 80-hour training program composed of five courses combining online lectures and onsite skills training.

Cagayan State University will likewise provide trainers, instructional materials, assessment tools, and certificates of completion, while the partner hotels will facilitate participant engagement and provide logistical support for the implementation of the program.

CSU inks MOA with SEED, Pulsar for Guest Satisfaction-Driven Hotel Service Excellence implementation

Cagayan State University (CSU), through the College of Hospitality Management of the Andrews Campus, formalized a Virtual Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with SEED Hotel and Pulsar Hotel to implement the Guest Satisfaction-Driven Hotel Service Excellence Training Program on July 9, 2026.

The training program, which aims to enhance the service competencies of hotel employees and managers, is an output of the research project of Dr. Lianne T. Abuan. It translates research into a practical extension initiative that promotes guest-centered service excellence in the hospitality industry.

The partnership reflects CSU's commitment to strengthening academe-industry collaboration by delivering research-based training programs that contribute to professional development and service quality among its partner hotels.
