GOSI NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL LAUNCHES TEACHERS’ MONTH CELEBRATION

GOSI NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL — The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Gosi National High School officially launched its Teachers’ Month celebration on September 16, 2026, honoring the dedication, service, and invaluable contributions of teachers and school personnel.

The celebration brought together teachers from various departments, school personnel, and students in a program dedicated to expressing appreciation for educators who continuously guide and support learners.

The program opened with an acknowledgment of teachers’ important role in creating a meaningful learning environment. The launching also marked the beginning of a month-long celebration dedicated to recognizing their efforts, patience, and commitment to education.

Adding energy to the celebration was the department-by-department entrance of teachers from the MAPEH, Filipino, Mathematics, English, Science, Araling Panlipunan, and Technology and Livelihood Education departments. Each department was introduced through light and relatable references to students’ classroom experiences while highlighting the distinct contributions of teachers in their respective fields.

The school principal was also formally welcomed during the program. The SSLG likewise recognized the non-teaching staff and other school personnel whose work contributes to the smooth and orderly operation of the school.

A symbolic gift-giving ceremony followed as a gesture of gratitude from the school community to its teachers. While simple, the gifts represented the learners’ appreciation for the teachers’ time, effort, patience, and dedication.

The occasion was made more meaningful through a special serenade performed by Christian Kim Parallag and Trish Jasmin Babaran as the symbolic gifts were presented to the teachers.

The program concluded with an expression of gratitude to all teachers and school personnel, officially opening the Teachers’ Month celebration at Gosi National High School.

Through the launching, the SSLG and the school community recognized the significant role of teachers in guiding learners, fostering growth, and contributing to the development of the school community.

The celebration serves as a reminder that behind every lesson and every learner’s progress are educators who continue to teach, inspire, and make a difference.

Baccay, Barasi Join Three-Day Youth Leadership Camp

STA. ANA, CAGAYAN — SSLG President Santino Baccay and Vice President Jademar Barasi participated in a three-day youth leadership camp held from September 5 to 7, 2026, in Sta. Ana, Cagayan, focusing on leadership development, youth participation, community involvement, and responsible citizenship.

The activity gathered young leaders for a series of leadership sessions, community discussions, team-building activities, and learning exercises aimed at strengthening their skills and encouraging active participation in their communities.

On Day 1, Baccay and Barasi attended the opening program and orientation before participating in sessions on community assessment, youth participation, teamwork, and leadership vision. The activities provided the student leaders with opportunities to understand their responsibilities and develop their leadership perspectives.

On Day 2, the focus turned to peace-building, community safety, and digital responsibility. The student leaders joined “Guardians of Tomorrow: Building Drug-Free and Peaceful Communities,” which featured representatives from the PNP, PDEA, and KKDAT. They also attended “Leading the Feed: A Student’s Guide to Ethical Tech and Digital Truth,” which highlighted responsible technology use and digital citizenship.

On Day 3, the participants engaged in “Tagisan ng Talino: Knowledge in Action” and “Unpacked: Lessons, Takeaways, and Trusts,” followed by an awarding ceremony and closing program.

Through their participation, Baccay and Barasi gained leadership experiences and strengthened their understanding of their roles as student leaders, bringing home lessons that can be applied to their school and fellow students.

The three-day camp concluded with a message of continued youth participation, emphasizing that young leaders can create meaningful change through knowledge, responsibility, and active service.

From listening to leading — a meaningful experience at the Peer Health Navigation Training. 🩺

Gathering with purpose, the training offered essential insight into being there for fellow students in ways that truly matter. It explored recognizing health concerns, offering support without overstepping, and guiding those in need toward proper help and resources. It highlighted empathy, boundaries, and the vital importance of knowing where to direct someone who needs more than a listening ear.

Health is not just physical –it is mental, emotional, and deeply connected to community. Carrying these lessons forward means being the one who notices, who cares, who guides. Not just trained but committed to making a difference. 💚🤝

Gosi NHS Student Leaders Join ‘LEAD THE LEADERS 2026’ Training

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan — Student leaders from Gosi National High School actively participated in the “LEAD THE LEADERS 2026” strategic capacity-building and governance training held on September 7, 8, and 10 at Taj Hotel and Restaurant, Tuguegarao City.

The three-day training brought together student leaders and youth organization officers to strengthen their leadership competencies, governance skills, and commitment to meaningful service. It focused on developing learners who can lead with responsibility, integrity, and purpose.

Representing Gosi National High School were SSLG President Santino Baccay, SSLG Vice President Jademar Barasi, and Grade 11 Representative Roselibeth Maguddayao, alongside student organization presidents Maxie Arzadon of the YES-O Club, Diana Beran of the SDRRM Club, and Mariciris Mape of the BKD Club.

The student leaders actively engaged in discussions, workshops, and practical activities throughout the program. Among the major topics were ethical leadership and identity, governance and organizational processes, communication and partnership-building, and data-driven leadership.

Participants also took part in a drill exercise on preparing a General Plan of Action (GPOA) and project proposal, providing them with practical experience in planning and implementing student-led initiatives.

On the final day, the participants explored Psychological First Aid for Learners and presented their outputs before proceeding to the synthesis of learning and commitment-setting activities. The sessions emphasized the importance of student leaders being responsive to the needs and welfare of their fellow learners.

The active participation of the Gosi National High School delegation was strengthened by the guidance of their advisers, Ma’am Isnaira Lacauta and Ma’am Jinky Mabborang, who supported and guided the student leaders throughout the training.

For the Gosi NHS student leaders, the experience was more than a leadership seminar. It was an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and prepare for the responsibilities that come with representing and serving the student body.

As they return to their school community, the student leaders are expected to put their learnings into action through programs and initiatives that promote student participation, responsible leadership, collaboration, and service.

Through their participation in LEAD THE LEADERS 2026, the Gosi National High School SSLG and its partner student organizations reaffirmed their commitment to lead not only with authority, but with purpose and service.
