PREPAREDNESS SAVES LIVES | SECOND QUARTER NSED

Cataggaman National High School joined the nation in the observance of the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), aimed at increasing public awareness and preparedness during earthquakes, on June 18, 2026 at 9 o'clock in the morning at the quadrangle

"Safety remains a shared responsibility." Ma'am Carmen A. Acain, school principal, emphasized in front of more than 1300 learners and teachers who participated in the activity. Meanwhile, Mrs. Mariel Cammayo of SDO Tuguegarao City, who came to observe the actual conduct of the NSED, reinforced the importance of readiness and proper response during emergencies especially the proper way of performing duck, cover , and hold.

Public Schools District Supervisor, Ma'am Grace B. Abana, also reminded everyone gathered to take the drill seriously and take full responsibility in securing one's safety to avoid casualties, citing the recent earthquake that hit General Santos in Mindanao.

With the feedbacking and evaluation provided by the Master Teachers who acted as evaluators, learners, teachers, and school personnel strengthened their awareness and practiced the necessary measures to ensure everyone's safety in the event of an earthquake.

Indeed, preparedness today builds a safer tomorrow.
Together, let us continue to cultivate a culture of vigilance, resilience, and disaster preparedness.

RED MASS AT CATNHS: A BLESSED BEGINNING

As we officially begin another school year, everyone gathered in faith and thanksgiving through the celebration of the Red Mass – a fitting celebration to ask for God’s blessings upon the students, teachers, school leaders, and the entire school community for a new academic journey.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Reverend Father Jake Ordillos, Parish Priest of St. Dominic De Guzman Parish, for presiding over this meaningful Eucharistic celebration and for sharing an inspiring message with our learners, teachers, and stakeholders.

The Gospel reminded us of the beauty of human connection and the unique gift of love—a divine capacity that sets humanity apart. In a world increasingly shaped by technology and Artificial Intelligence, we are reminded that genuine compassion, empathy, and love remain qualities that only the human heart can truly express.

May this celebration strengthen our faith, guide our actions, and inspire us to build a school community rooted in love, respect, and service throughout the academic year.

STUDENTS, TEACHERS KICK OFF SY 2026-2027 WITH HIGH SPIRITS

The school year officially began on June 8, 2026 with an inspiring and energetic start as approximately 1,190 CatNHS learners gathered for the first flag-raising ceremony of the academic year.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Sir Nicolas Andal, Education Program Supervisor in TLE, who witnessed the enthusiasm and readiness of the learners and educators. Meanwhile, Ma'am Carmen A. Acain, School Principal IV, gave a heart-warming message to all teachers and students which she instilled the essence of discipline in facing the challenges of the new academic year.

As time went on, a vibrant and positive atmosphere filled the campus as students reconnected with friends, met their teachers, and embraced new opportunities for learning and growth. Added to these were prizes awarded by the SSLG Officers for top 3 earliest birds and select students and teachers for best performances during the physical exercise.

The day was dedicated to classroom orientation, learner profiling, setting of rules, and election of classroom officers—important activities that set the foundation for a productive and meaningful school year.

As we embark on another journey of learning, may this school year be filled with excellence, discovery, and success for every learner. Welcome back to school, and together, let us make School Year 2026–2027 a remarkable one!
