The Supreme Student Government President Jhon Felix Malamug, together with Dean of Student Affairs Mr. Antonio B. Talamayan Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Randy F. Apattad, and Executive Vice President Dr. Editha M. Muhallin, led the photographic documentation for the acquisition of 100 monoblock chairs—an official SSG project for A.Y. 2024–2025.

This initiative reflects the SSG’s commitment to enhancing student facilities for a more comfortable and conducive learning environment. 👏🪑📸

SYMPOSIUM ON LEADERSHIP: “Harnessing Young Leaders’ Potential”

On February 21, 2025, the FL Vargas College Auditorium became a hub of inspiration and empowerment as young leaders from University of Cagayan Valley, Saint Paul University Philippines - Tuguegarao Campus, AMA University, John Wesley College and F.L. Vargas College, Inc. gathered for the SYMPOSIUM ON LEADERSHIP, a program led by the Office of the Vice Governor of Cagayan under the leadership of Vice Governor Melvin Boy Vargas Jr.

The event began with an insightful opening message from Mr. Antonio Talamayan, MPA, Dean of Student Affairs, emphasizing the role of leadership in shaping communities. The symposium featured two esteemed speakers: Clino Nonito P. Mallinllin, MBA, CSEE, Consultant to the Vice Governor’s Office, who highlighted the fundamental values of leadership, and Mr. Dante P. Pasicolan, Ph.D., Executive Assistant to the Vice Governor, who delivered a compelling talk on fostering servant leadership a call to lead with purpose, humility, and dedication.

A moment of excitement swept through the audience when Vice Governor Melvin Boy Vargas Jr. made a surprise visit, sharing words of encouragement and reinforcing the province’s commitment to nurturing future leaders. Adding to the event’s prestige was the presence of former MMDA Spokesperson Ms. Celine Pialago, whose experiences in leadership and governance further inspired the attendees.

Beyond the discussions, the symposium was filled with interactive activities and engaging games, keeping the energy high and fostering camaraderie among students. As the event concluded, the air was filled with a renewed sense of purpose and determination a testament to the power of leadership in driving change.

This symposium was more than just a gathering it was a catalyst for young leaders to step up, take action, and embrace their potential to shape a better future.
