Today, June 12, we remember the people who fought for the freedom of the Philippines. They were very brave. Never gave up. As we celebrate the Philippine Independence Day we think about how the people who came before us made it possible for us to be free today.

This day makes us want to take care of our freedom and be people. We want to make the Philippines a better place for everyone.

The Philippine Independence Day spirit should always be, in the heart of every person. We should always be proud of the Philippines, our heritage and our freedom.

Let us keep building a community where people can feel safe, valued, and also free to express themselves, without fear of judgment. When we embrace our differences and support one another, somehow we make a place where everyone can belong, really belong.

Last Sunday, May 24, 2026 — we successfully conducted an insightful webinar session, bringing together students from 𝑨𝑾𝑺𝑳𝑪_𝑼𝑺𝑳𝑻 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝑪𝒑𝑬𝑷.𝑺𝑬 𝑼𝑺𝑳𝑻 for an insightful discussion on career development in cloud computing.

We were honored to feature our distinguished guest speaker, 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐟𝐢 𝐆𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚, 𝐀𝐖𝐒 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐚, who shared valuable insights on building early careers, the importance of earning certifications, and the value of leadership opportunities in shaping future professionals.

This meaningful event marks the official turnover and recognition ceremony honoring outstanding student leaders and exemplary member participants for their integrity, engagement, dedication, and excellence in various Computer Engineering programs and initiatives.

As part of strengthening student leadership and digital innovation, the organization will also conduct the official voting process for leadership positions through 𝐈𝐂𝐏𝐄𝐏.𝐒𝐞𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐞: 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — an online voting platform developed by 𝐌𝐫. The 3rd Year Computer Engineering students, along with Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Geodetic Engineering student participated in the 3rd Pinning and Hardhatting Ceremony at the Good Shepherd Chapel on May 13.

The student juniors from the mentioned programs received their pins and hardhats as a symbol of their achieved academic milestone. These also mark the beginning of their journey as student interns.

The ICPEP.SE USLT Chapter extends its warmest congratulations to the proud students and parents. May your academic journey continue to be filled with meaningful success and milestones.
