The 3rd Class students successfully conducted their live firing activities under the subject Fundamentals of Marksmanship at the Military Intelligence Group 2 (MGI2) on March 18 and 23, 2026. The activity was spearheaded and supervised by their Course Instructor, Mr. Jervees A. Herrera, MNSA, as part of the studentsโ practical training and competency development in firearm handling and marksmanship.
The training served as an avenue for the students to apply the theories, principles, and safety protocols discussed inside the classroom into actual field ex*****on. Through proper guidance and strict supervision, the students were able to demonstrate discipline, accuracy, focus, and responsibility while handling fi****ms in a controlled and professional environment.
More than just hitting targets, the activity emphasized the importance of firearm safety, mental preparedness, self-discipline, and tactical awarenessโqualities expected from future professionals in the field of criminology and public safety. The hands-on experience allowed the students to gain confidence and deepen their understanding of the realities and responsibilities associated with marksmanship training.
The successful conduct of the activity reflects the institutionโs commitment to providing quality experiential learning that bridges academic instruction with real-life application. It also highlights the dedication of both instructors and students in pursuing excellence, competence, and professionalism in every training opportunity.
Indeed, experience remains the best teacher, as learning is strengthened not only through discussion, but through actual practice, exposure, and ex*****on.
