CNES Young Journalists Triumph at Municipal Press Conference 2026; Three Qualify for Congressional Level
Showcasing exceptional writing and artistic skills, the young journalists of Cabanbanan Norte Elementary School (CNES) bagged multiple awards at the recently concluded Municipal Press Conference held at Rebecca National High School from July 31 to August 1, 2026.
Leading the school's delegates is
Lia M. Taloza, who clinched the Champion title in Column Writing (Filipino).
Taloza’s stellar performance officially secured her a spot as a qualifier for the upcoming Congressional Press Conference. She was trained under the guidance of her coach, Marlyn Taloza.
Joining Taloza in the next stage of the competition are two other outstanding campus journalists who also qualified for the Congressional PresCon:

The school's winning streak continued with impressive finishes from other dedicated writers:
Jay R. Lunato secured
5th Place in Copyreading & Headline Writing (Filipino) under the mentorship of Mayflorcita P. Palor.
David Ezekiel Angelo Patubo landed
6th Place in Feature Writing (Filipino),
coached by Marlyn Taloza.
The CNES administration extended their heartfelt congratulations to the winning learners, their hardworking coaches, and their highly supportive parents who played a massive role in their success.
The entire CNES family is so proud of you, the school shared in a statement, also commending the rest of the CNES journalism delegates for doing their best and representing the school with honor during the two-day event.
The campus journalists are now gearing up for the next level of competition, hoping to bring further pride to Cabanbanan Norte Elementary School.
