CAGAYAN'S PRIDE!

PINAKABATANG CONTENDER MULA SA CAGAYAN, NAGKAMIT NG BRONZE MEDAL SA KATATAPOS NA ONE TAEKWONDO POOMSAE CHAMPIONSHIP INTERNATIONAL

Walang pagdududang si Dave Quinzy D. Buendia ang pinakabatang kalahok sa naganap na ONE Taekwondo Poomsae Championship International ngunit hindi naging balakid ang murang edad nito upang maipakita ang kahusayan sa larangan ng Taekwondo.

Si Buendia ay 12 taon gulang, Grade 6 pupil ng Tuguegarao North Central School at pinakabatang contender na naging kinatawan ng Cagayan sa internasyonal na patimpalak. Maiksi lamang ang naging preparasyon ni Dave dahil sa Covid-19 pandemic ngunit ipinamalas pa rin nito ang angking galing at nagkamit ang Bronze Medal sa Cadet Solo Category.

Ang ONE Taekwondo Poomsae Championship International ay dinaluhan ng mga prominente at mahuhusay na taekwondo masters mula sa iba't ibang bansa na pinangunahan ni Master Soom Min Jang ng Estados Unidos.

Ang patimapalak na ito ay ginanap via online dahil sa pandemya at sinalihan ng mga mahuhusay sa taekwondo mula sa iba't ibang bansa tulad ng USA, Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Slovenia, Thailand, Greece, Finland, Italy, Singapore, Macau at France.

Lubos naman ang pagmamalaki ng kanyang coach na si Ian Ulysses Buendia mula sa Black Hawk Taekwondo Club at buong pamilya ni Dave lalo na ang kaniyang ama na si Edwin Jesus Buendia Jr. sa ipinamalas nitong talento sa larangan ng taekwondo.

Si Dave Quinzy Buendia ay 2nd Degree Black belter at nakilahok na rin sa iba't ibang international at regional competitions sa taekwondo at nagkamit pa ito ng mga medalya.

Isa lamang si Buendia sa mga maraming Cagayano na kahit nasa batang edad pa lamang ay nnakapagbigay na ng karangalan hindi lamang sa Cagayan, kundi sa buong bansa.
