Handa Yarn!
(Fire Emergency Evacuation Plan FEEP)
The month of March has been declared as “Fire Prevention Month” here in the Philippines by the virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A. This is because of the alarming increase of fire incidents happening across the country during this period.
Not only that, but because our location is one of the hottest in the country, we frequently hear about fire disasters in various parts of the region. In relation to this, students will be able to design their own fire emergency evacuation plan as a precaution and strategy in mitigating fire disasters.
OBJECTIVES:
This activity aims to:
B. Improve your understanding of fire hazards and your ability to plan and prepare for them.
C. Prepare an exit strategy for your home based on your floor as guide in case of fire emergency.
D. Strengthen disaster preparedness for all students, ensuring that they can respond effectively at all levels.
MECHANICS:
1. Each class must present ONE (1) output and entry should be in digital format.
2. Fire exit plans must be based on the floor plan of the house of participants. Describe in detail the plan using symbols or icons and it must also be labelled.
3. Entry must be original and must not contain any malicious and offensive content.
4. Outputs must be submitted in either JPG or PNG format.

Digi-Art Making
Theme: “Sa Pag-iwas ng Sunog Di Ka Nag-iisa”

Not only that, but because our location is one of the hottest in the country, we frequently hear about fire disasters in various parts of the region. In relation to this, students will be able to portray what they will do to alleviate the effects of a fire disaster through this project. Their activity must be aligned on the this year’s theme is “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog Di Ka Nag-iisa.”

Participants are expected to:
A. Build knowledge and understanding on fire-safety education to mitigate the threats posed by fire hazards,
B. Empower students to protect themselves from fire hazards by teaching them how to avoid and reduce the underlying risk of fire hazards, and
C. Strengthen disaster preparedness for all students, ensuring that they can respond effectively at all levels.

2. Make a digital art about preventing fire disaster at home in align with the month’s theme.
3. Any gadgets and applications can be used to ensure the best quality and delivery of the output.

With the increasing of population, urbanization, climate change and poverty, growing number of folks are exposed to disasters. Moreover, many of these events occur in conflict-affected states, thus increasing tthe complexity of crises and over burdening countries experiencing fragile governance. However improved practive andd response mechanisms can save lives. Understanding the occurence and frequency of natural hazards helps to improve preparedness. This activity plans to set out a number of implementation strategies, such as: advocacy, capacity building, and education while unveiling the magic in your hands along with facilitating, creative thinking and extensive research and reading.
Mechanics
• Each class must present 1 output (english version) and entry should be in digital format.
• Poster making must organized to explore and encourage creativity in an individual to guide public schools in preparing and responding to the impacts of the hazards
• Entry must be original and must not contain any malicious and offensive content.
• the contestants are free to use any variety of art and coloring materials to express facts and ideas. (you can use materials which is already available in your home to avoid going out)
• Art work must be freehand.. digitalized output will be disqualified.

Disasters and emergencies can happen at any time, and often with little to no warning. The mass destruction can leave you cut off from the outside world for a period of time, so you need to be prepared. To survive and recover from a disaster, being prepared is dominant. This activity called "INFOGRAPH-RISK-REDUCE" will show relevant information and statistics while unleashing your striking, engaging artistry to enlighten individuals. It also gives importance to education and the effect of disaster risk reduction and preparedness most especially to vulnerable people.
