The freshmen Political Science students of Cagayan State University – Carig Campus joined the campus Salubong activity.

The event marked a warm and meaningful welcome for incoming students, promoting unity, excellence, and shared purpose among Cariganans. It also served as an introduction to university life, encouraging freshmen to embody the spirit of service, leadership, and academic growth.

Sa bawat hakbang ng paa ng bawat isang Pilipino ay ang alingawngaw ng siklabong dumadagundong sa dugong nananalaytay sa ating ugat. Ang kalayaan nating ninanamnam ay ang eksaktong kalayaang ipinaglaban ng mga Pilipino bago tayo.

Ang rebolusyon ay nasa ating dugo, ang ating dugo ay ang ating kapalaluan, at ang ating kapalaluan ay ang ating watawat.

Ngayon, higit kailanman, ang kalayaang kanilang ipinaglaban ay nananatiling isang paalala at pananagutan. Hindi lamang ito isang karapatang ating tinatamasa kundi isang pamana na dapat pangalagaan. Maraming taon na ang lumipas, subalit ang tunay na pagmamahal sa bayan ay nananatiling isang pagpili. Pagpiling umasa sa kabila ng pagkadismaya. Pagpiling maniwala sa kabila ng mga pagsubok. Pagpiling manatili at maglingkod sa bayang ating tinatawag na tahanan.

Sapagkat ang pagmamahal sa bayan ay hindi nasusukat sa kung gaano kadaling mahalin ito. Nasusukat ito sa ating paninindigan para rito. Kung kaya't mahirap mang mahalin, Pilipinas ay ipaglalaban pa rin. Dahil ang dugong minsang dumanak para sa ating kalayaan ay siya ring dugong nananalaytay sa ating mga ugat ngayon. At hangga't may pusong Pilipinong handang mangarap, magmahal, at manindigan, mananatiling malaya ang Pilipinas.

Maligayang pagbati sa kalayaang ating natamasa, Pilipinas!
