Valerie Serrano, a fourth year BSED Mathematics major student, secured 2nd place out of 151 contenders in the National Teacher Education Quiz Bee Event held at GBA Building, Tuguegarao City, March 20, 2026, and qualified for the national level under the guidance of Dr. Richard J. Galano.

Her achievement highlights her excellence and dedication in the field of Mathematics, bringing pride and honor to the College of Teacher Education.

Congratulations as well to the four other participants who represented with determination and showcased their skills in the competition.

The Officers of MATHZTER successfully conducted an Extension Project at Balzain East Elementary School by distributing school supplies to the 30 Grade 1 pupils and also conducted tutoring sessions to support their learning. This simple initiative aims to support young learners as they begin their educational journey.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the principal, Ma’am Aileen C. Ibañez and the cooperating teachers for their warm welcome and support in making this activity possible.

May these small tools help the pupils write, learn, and dream bigger. Together, we continue to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
