𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜: 𝗣𝗦𝗦 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗬𝗢𝗥𝗣 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

‎The National Youth Commission (NYC) is a government agency established via the "Youth in Nation-Building Act of 1995" (Republic Act 8044). It was created with a specific objective in mind: tackling the concerns of the youth.
‎
‎Among its initiatives is the revitalized Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP), meant to recognize groups that serve, and are lead by the youth.
‎
‎The Political Science Society (PSS) had obtained its 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗬𝗖 informed through an email sent on february 2026.
‎
‎Under the 2017 revised guidelines, the organization enjoys numerous privileges related to the YORP, including representation in assemblies exclusive to registered organizations, usage of the YORP seal in official documents and materials, access to the NYC's training programs, and promotion request of organization-related programs via the NYC Youth Network.

The Federation 2025 – 2026 initiated the registration process, and the current crop of Linteg officers sincerely thanks them for it.

celia's all-smiles here and all-wackies there, but is a bundle of intrigue: introverted at times, extroverted most of the time, and an underrated diva. . . always. 🎀

but this coffee and cat and Minecraft ju**ie is serious in her creed on her job as an auditor, and a business manager before.

we recognize her proven competence in matters of money. we know she stands by her mantra of open reports, of accurate records, and of responsible decision-making.

𝘴𝘢𝘬𝘵𝘰, 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘺. well, you're free on what you wanna do. throw a birthday bash, listen to The Beatles and Oasis on repeat, eat a potful of chicken adobo, or walk on a runway and pose with a Vogue-worthy grin. ✨

Freedom is not merely gained, but restored generation after generation. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻; 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲.

The Political Science Society echoes the enduring call to break the chains that hinder genuine freedom—to confront complacency and uphold democracy.

As the Philippine commemorates its 𝟭𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆, the Political Science Society also turns its collective sentiment into heartfelt art as Mckeily Quilang traces the life of a soldier at the height of the Philippine-American War in a poem titled, 𝘼 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙧'𝙨 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙮."

I see my fate now, and I will meet
Her. Up on the mountain, deep in my forage.
Wind grazes my skin; death comes. I greet
It without fear for i know the battle's won
With the blotch and the bruise on my face.
I fight until the purple dawn
And lay onto the endless lawn, until
My troops on the hills yell these words past
The rivers, "𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙖𝙩 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩!"

Dear general, I shall meet my fate;
The bell tolls and the ribbons tied —
A clump of flowers rise on my hand. The sun is late
In its rising; the moon is not bright.
The wreath's offered where the flowers grow
Have wilted, sir. But c**k your gun
And hear a diff'rent kind of sermon, ye from dust —

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺. Even then, we in the pursuit of a free land.

One hundred twenty-eight years after independence, the question remains: 𝙏𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙮 𝙠𝙖 𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖?

The Political Science Society (PSS) of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) successfully passed the Level 2 Interview and Screening for accreditation as a Club for UNESCO.

The interview was spearheaded by LINTEG Federation President Jean Audrey Lagrio and Vice President Shavannah Labang, together with federation officers, advisers, and incumbent President Christy Prejido, before evaluators from the National Coordinating Body of Clubs for UNESCO in the Philippines, Inc. (NCBCUP).

The organization accentuates the endeavor’s significance, formally integrating student organizations into an international network that promotes peace-building and sustainable development. The screening, built upon PSS’s preceding presentation of its flagship initiative collectively reflects the organization’s commitment to civic engagement and youth empowerment anchored on participatory democracy.

With the completion of Phase 2, PSS advances to Phase 3 of the accreditation process, bringing the organization a step closer to official UNESCO Club recognition.

‎Chosen representatives of the Political Science Society (PSS) participated in the 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼, organized by JCI Tuguegarao Ybanag last June 10, Wednesday at SM City Tuguegarao.

‎Alongside the PSS were various student leaders from within the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) and other notable educational institutions across the city.
‎
The event serves as an early celebration to the country's Independence Day from Spain, which occurs on June 12 every year.
‎
‎Mr. Joel Amilhasan Paguirigan Jr., a researcher from the University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman who is undergoing doctoral studies, tackled the seminar session with the topic of "𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻, 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻, 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻: 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗸𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮, 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗲𝗮, 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮."

‎The session tackled the differences between independence, freedom, and sovereignty, the history of Philippine independence, education's role in sustaining independence, and concerns of the youth in the modern world.
‎
‎Among the other notable events include a folk dance presentation by the Ybanag Culture and Arts performers, and a fashion show dedicated to showcasing local designs across the Cagayan Valley region with a contemporary twist.
