BACK-TO-SCHOOL READY & DISASTER READY!

The local government unit (LGU) of Tuguegarao City has officially distributed free school bags, learning materials, and safety gears to our eager Grade 1, Grade 3, and Grade 5 pupils here at Balzain East Elementary School!

This wonderful initiative is part of the city's active advocacy: "Serbisyong mas nakikita, mas nadarama, at mas maasahan," championed by our dedicated leader, Hon. City Mayor Maila Rosario Ting-Que. 🌟❤️

The heartwarming event brought big smiles to both students and parents. Parents of the student recipients expressed their deepest gratitude, noting how much this eases the financial burden of the new school year.

Our very own principal Ma'am Aileen C. Ibañez also extended her heartfelt thanks to the city government, highlighting how crucial this support is for our young learners:
"This kind of activity from the city government helps our pupils become not only academically ready but also equipped for disaster safety."

By providing both educational supplies and essential safety gears, this project ensures that our children are prepared for the classroom and protected against unexpected emergencies.

Thank you, Mayor Maila Ting-Que for always putting the welfare and safety of our children first!

School Update: SLAC Session on DepEd Order No. 15, s. 2026 successfully conducted!

Last June 25, 2026, our school faculty gathered for a productive School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) session. The discussion focused on the newly issued DepEd Order No. 15, s. 2026, which brings fresh updates to classroom assessment, the grading system, and awards and recognition.

The session was spearheaded by our Master Teacher I, Mr. Ralph Atanacio T. Ventura, who explained the key changes and how they will help us better support our learners' growth.

This professional learning activity was conducted under the guidance and supervision of our School Principal, Ma'am Aileen C. Ibañez, whose constant support helps our teachers stay updated and effective.

Through this SLAC session, our teachers gained a clearer understanding of how to implement fairer, more transparent grading and awards guidelines that focus on genuine learning.

Thank you, Sir Ralph, for sharing your expertise, and thank you, Ma'am Aileen, for your leadership! Let’s keep working together for the success of our learners! 💙🍎
