Annafunan Integrated School (AIS) successfully commenced Day 1 of its 2026 ๐๐ป-๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ (๐๐ก๐ฆ๐๐ง) anchored on the theme โ๐๐ฎ๐๐ธ๐ฉ๐๐พ๐๐ ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐ธ๐ฝ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐ธ๐, ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ป๐๐๐๐พ๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐ถ๐ธ๐๐พ๐ธ๐, ๐ถ๐๐น ๐๐น๐๐ถ๐๐ธ๐พ๐๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐๐พ๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐ธ๐๐๐๐โ through Project ASCEND (Advancing Skills and Competencies through Enhanced, Nurturing Professional Development).
The first day brought together the teaching force of AIS and pre-service teachers in a meaningful professional learning experience designed to strengthen teacher competence, enhance instructional practices, and improve learning outcomes.
The sessions were enriched by the expertise of distinguished resource speakers:

Topic: Innovating Assessment Practices Using EvalBee for Efficient Checking, Scoring, and Analysis

Topic: Crafting Better Tests: The Art of Item Writing for Competency-Based Assessment
* Elmer G. Lappay, Teacher III
Topic: AI-Assisted Lesson Planning: Enhancing the Quality, Efficiency, and Personalization of Instruction
The sessions provided teachers with practical knowledge and innovative strategies on learner mental health, differentiated and inclusive instruction, assessment innovation, quality test construction, and AI-assisted lesson planning. These learning areas are vital in preparing educators to respond effectively to the diverse and evolving needs of todayโs learners.
The successful conduct of Day 1 was made possible through the leadership of School Head, Sir Victor Taccad and Assistant School Head, Maโam Raiza Mones, who served as the Overall Chairpersons of the Program Management Team, providing direction, coordination, and support throughout the program.
Through Project ASCEND, AIS continues to empower teachers to rise to new challenges, transform teaching practices, and advance learning outcomesโone professional learning experience at a time.
