𝙲𝙽𝙷𝚂-𝚂𝙷 𝚂𝚎𝚌𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚜 3𝚛𝚍 𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚎 𝙾𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚒𝚗 𝙳𝚂𝚃𝙵 2026, 𝙴𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚜 𝚁𝚎𝚐𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕 𝚀𝚞𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚏𝚒𝚎𝚛 𝚂𝚙𝚘𝚝𝚜

Cagayan National High School–Senior High (CNHS-SH) secured 3rd Place Overall in TUKLAS during the Division Science and Technology Fair (DSTF) 2026, highlighted by strong performances across Robotics, Life Science, Physical Science, MCS, and the STEM Innovation Expo.

The school’s Robotics Team led the team category with a 2nd-place finish, represented by Charles Gumatay, Majandra Canicula, and Vin Jelyne Miculob earning a slot for RSTF.

In MCS Individual, Kheigne Fernandez secured 4th Place and was named Best Presenter, while Christine Jose placed 5th and Rubylace Suyo finished 8th. In MCS Team, Owen Llovit, Mavey Baquiran, and Jared Simangan earned 4th Place, followed by Cara Duque, Ava Zingapan, and Janine Guillermo in 8th and Dan Cabrera, Mathea Maguddayao, and Angeline Tumaliuan in 9th.

The Robotics Individual category saw Rhone Kyle Patricio finish 4th, Alvin Yabut 9th, and Andrei Lambino 10th. Meanwhile, the Robotics Team also posted a 2nd-place finish.

In Life Science Individual, Janine Callangan secured 3rd Place, Nicole Florentino placed 7th, and Marhey Moreno finished 8th. The Life Science Team also delivered strong results, with Yoel Balgua, Gian Colinares, and Louen Simangan placing 5th, and Dunn Mara, Lovely Gumarang, and Alex Mangada placing 6th.

For Physical Science Individual, Precious Abana placed 8th and Sendess Ramos finished 10th. In the team category, Ashley Carino, Zoe Vela, and Mhia Mallillin secured 6th Place, while Peejay Emmanuel Aquino, Karen Jane Muring, and Jayzekiel Lazaro placed 7th.

The STEM Innovation Expo also produced notable results, with Dave Buendia securing 3rd Place and Sophia Conciso placing 4th in the Individual category. In the Team category, Yosef Morada, Lginz Tucjang, and Shezmy Binarao earned 4th Place, while Charlene Barnachea, Vivianne Darauay, and JD Faith Datul placed 7th.

The learners were guided by their coaches Marly I. Canapi, Jovi, Czar, Janmar, Anthony, Ralph, Jeannie, Laila, Edlie, and Jenina, whose mentoring supported the teams and individual participants throughout the competition.

JUST IN| 𝙲𝙽𝙷𝚂-𝚂𝙷 𝚂𝚎𝚌𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚜 3𝚛𝚍 𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚎 𝚒𝚗 𝙵𝙸𝚂𝙷𝙱𝙴𝙴 2026

Cagayan National High School–Senior High School (CNHS-SH) clinched 3rd Place among 19 participating teams during the FISHBEE 2026 Fisheries Quiz Bee Competition organized by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 2 (DA-BFAR R2).

The competition was held at the DA-BFAR Region 2 MIS Hall, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, bringing together participating teams to test their knowledge of fisheries, aquatic resources, and related environmental concerns.

Representing CNHS-SH were Althea Sto. Tomas and Gerard Joseff Banan, who demonstrated knowledge and teamwork throughout the competition under the guidance of their coach, Marly I. Canapi.

CNHS-SH Students secures top spots in Techquest conducted by DICT

Students from Cagayan National High School–Senior High School (CNHS-SH) secured top placements in TECHQUEST, earning awards in the Rubik’s and Robotics competitions.

Zach Abram Paul Ifurung placed second in the Rubik’s competition, while Khenn Cedrick Birung finished third in the same category. They were coached by Marlon Salvador.

In the Robotics competition, Jophiel Edradan emerged as champion, while Cara Samantha Duque secured fourth place. The Robotics team was coached by Anthony Zipagan.

The results highlighted the participation of CNHS-SH students in the science and technology competition, representing the school in the Rubik’s and Robotics categories.

𝖣𝖺𝗒 2 𝗈𝖿 𝖨𝗇-𝖲𝖾𝗋𝗏𝗂𝖼𝖾 𝖳𝗋𝖺𝗂𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖥𝗈𝖼𝗎𝗌𝖾𝗌 𝗈𝗇 𝖢𝗁𝗂𝗅𝖽 𝖯𝗋𝗈𝗍𝖾𝖼𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇, 𝖤𝗆𝖾𝗋𝗀𝖾𝗇𝖼𝗒 𝖱𝖾𝗌𝗉𝗈𝗇𝗌𝖾, 𝖠𝖨, 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖯𝖳𝖠 𝖯𝗈𝗅𝗂𝖼𝗂𝖾𝗌

Teachers from Cagayan National High School–Senior High School (CNHS-SH) and Tuguegarao City West High School continued their In-Service Training (INSET) on September 11 at Hotel Ivory, focusing on child protection, emergency response, generative artificial intelligence, and policies governing school organizations.

Atty. Cecillia Melad-Lazaro, Officer-in-Charge Regional Director, led the session on “Understanding DepEd Child Protection Policy: Roles, Responsibilities, and Accountability,” which discussed the duties and accountabilities of education personnel in implementing child protection measures in schools.

The training also featured “Safety First: Building Teachers’ Competence in First Aid and Emergency Response,” facilitated by Dr. Roderick Ramirez of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO). The session addressed first-aid procedures and emergency response competencies for teachers.

Meanwhile, Carlos Babaran Jr., ICT Director of Saint Paul University Philippines (SPUP), conducted the session “Generative AI in Education: Opportunities, Challenges, and Ethical Issues,” which covered the use of generative artificial intelligence in educational settings, including its opportunities, challenges, and ethical considerations.

The final session focused on the No Collection Policy and the legal bases for Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) organization in schools, providing teachers with information on policy provisions and the legal framework governing school-based PTA activities.

The Day 2 sessions formed part of the continuing INSET program anchored on the theme “Empowered Teachers, Protected Learners: Building Inclusive, Safe, Resilient, and Future-Ready Schools.”

Teachers from Cagayan National High School–Senior High School (CNHS-SH) and Tuguegarao City West High School strengthened their capacity to create safer, more inclusive, resilient, and future-ready learning environments during the first day of their In-Service Training (INSET) held on September 10, 2026, at Hotel Ivory.

Anchored on the theme “Empowered Teachers, Protected Learners: Building Inclusive, Safe, Resilient and Future-Ready Schools,” the training equipped teachers with practical knowledge on classroom management, complaint handling, media relations, and education continuity during emergencies.

Vilma Darisan, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), led the session on Positive Discipline and Effective Classroom Management, highlighting approaches that promote constructive learner behavior while maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.

Meanwhile, Amir M. Aquino, Chief of the Public Affairs Unit of DepEd Regional Office II, broadened teachers’ understanding of Management of Complaints and Media Relations, emphasizing the importance of appropriate communication, proper handling of concerns, and responsible engagement with stakeholders and the media.

Mara Karla S. Macalan, Education Program Supervisor for Learning Resources Management Section (LRMS), further strengthened teachers’ preparedness through her discussion on the School Learning Continuity Plan and Education in Emergencies, focusing on strategies that help ensure the continuity of teaching and learning amid disruptions and crises.

The Day 1 sessions provided teachers with strengthened competencies and practical perspectives essential to protecting learners, managing school concerns, and sustaining learning in diverse and challenging situations.
