The Lab Coats and Legends: STEM Icon Cosplay activity allowed Grade 12 STEM-Health students to step into the shoes of the scientists who shaped the world. By bringing these iconic figures to life through cosplay, learners celebrate the brilliance, discoveries, and innovations that continue to inspire the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

More than just costumes, this activity sparks curiosity, deepens appreciation for scientific contributions, and transforms learning into a fun, interactive experience.

Because sometimes, the best way to understand legends… is to become one.

𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 ❤️‍🔥

A few months ago, October 13, 2025, the STEM-Health council, in collaboration with the YE-CCMV Club, conducted the Rosary Rally, an initiative to strengthen the spiritual foundation of the community by fostering unity and devotion through the collective praying of the Holy Rosary.

𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞; 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞.

“𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗻 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱, ‘𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗶𝗺.’” 🌤

Sometimes, we are afraid when God reveals something greater than what we understand. Like the disciples on the mountain, we may fall in fear but Jesus gently reminds us, “Rise, and do not be afraid.”❤️‍🩹

In moments of glory and in moments of confusion, may we fix our eyes on Him alone. Let our hearts be open to His voice, ready to listen and follow wherever He leads. 🤍🙏

The Gospel of Mathew 17:1–9

The Transfiguration ⛰️

1 Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother and led them up a high mountain by themselves.

2 He was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light.

3 Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him.

4 Peter said to Jesus,“Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud came a voice saying,
“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”

6 When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate and were very much afraid.

7 But Jesus came and touched them, saying,
“Rise, and do not be afraid.”

8 When they raised their eyes, they saw no one else but Jesus alone.

9 As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus charged them,
“Do not tell the vision to anyone until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”

Today, February 28, 2026, the STEM-Health council, in collaboration with Kapitagang Tinta and in partnership with CECA, brought smiles and learning to life through the STEM of Hope Service Learning Program!

From creative storytelling about health and wellness in the form of coloring books and donations of toys and other forms of entertainment from the STEM-Health community, we saw the genuine smiles of young patients aged 10 years old and below at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center.

In the midst of their silent battles, we witnessed courage far greater than words and were reminded that even the simplest gestures can bring warmth, hope, and comfort to those enduring the hardest days.

It was a day filled with stories that left us deeply inspired, carrying the strength of these children and reminding us of our mission and identity.

Introducing STERMInology of the Week! The initiative is designed to enhance STEM-Health students’ medical vocabulary by introducing new and relevant terms from specialized subjects in a simple and engaging manner.

Get ready to level up your STEM-Health knowledge as we unlock three must-know medical terms that you’ll definitely encounter in the health sciences:

Jesus Questioned About Fasting

18 Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. Some people came and asked Jesus, “How is it that John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees are fasting, but yours are not?”

19 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? They cannot, so long as they have him with them. 20 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day they will fast.

21 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. 22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.”
