CSU IMPACT

|The CSU IMPACT, in collaboration with the project “IDIG: CSU University-Wide Connectivity Library/Research Resources, ICT Managers and Faculty Retraining Program” funded by Commission on Higher Education under the Institutional Development and Innovation Grant, launched the University-Wide RDE Database Management System and RDE Website last August 5, 2022, at the RDE Building, CSU-Andrews Campus.

The University Database management system aims to provide a unified, robust, sustainable, and scalable communication platform on all 8 CSU Campuses. Prior to this, a unified communication infrastructure composed of servers and other network equipment was procured and distributed in the Month of October 2021 at the 8 campuses of CSU. The VPN connection within the campus servers was configured last November 27, 2022 – December 7, 2021, and established on June 29, 2022, where the RDE DBMS runs.

The purpose of this RDE Database is to have a centralized storage of the RDE files on all CSU Campuses and will be managed by the RDE database administrator. Lastly, the RDE website was built for the RDE Personnel and University researchers to access the different RDE services and know the offices of Research, Extension, KTM, and TTBDD. University researchers can also submit research proposals and monitor them as one of the website's features.

The Tarlac State University (TSU) – 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 – 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 (𝐓𝐁𝐈-𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐇𝐈𝐁) conducted a benchmarking activity last July 20-21, 2022 at the Cagayan State University Technology Business Incubators- BiZNEST and CVLTBI. The team, led by their TBI manager Mr. Aldrex Laxamana, was welcomed by Dr. Junel B. Guzman (VP-RDE), Dr. Jose D. Guzman (Project Leader of the TBIs), and the whole CSU TBI and CSU IMPACT Team.
During the Visit TSU delegation had the chance to speak to three (3) incubatees of the TBIs. They also visited the CSU-Carig Campus where the Food Innovation Center (FIC) is being housed.
TSU is one of the SUCs that responded to the DOST-PCIEERD HEIRIT 2.0 Program call of proposals. This activity is very relevant to TSU in the hope of knowing and learning how TBIs with Food as the banner technology run their operation.

| The IMPACT Team conducted consultative meetings with the technology creators of the successful project proposals of CSU ONWARD TechCom 2022. The existing processes, capacity, and resources required per technology were validated and assessed. The pathways and timeline of pre-commercialization activities were also laid out and discussed.

| CSU IMPACT launches I-CoRe X: Innovation Through Collaborative Research and Extension.

The CSU IMPACT team conducted technology needs validation and site visits to possible collaborators in CSU Gonzaga, Sta. Praxedes, Cagayan, and at N.P. Garcia Integrated Cacao Farm at Sta. Teresita, Cagayan.

I-CoRe X: Innovation Through Collaborative Research and Extension is one of the subprograms of the Technology Transfer Office under its flagship program, ONWARD: Cagayan State University Advancing in Technopreneurship.

It aims to fast-track innovation and boost the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region through a tripartite research and extension collaboration between the MSME, the university, and the funding agency. Through the different Research and Development (R&D) Centers of the university, the program intends to bring the technical expertise of the university to the MSMEs.

In this program, we seek to know the current problems of the MSMEs and connect them to our faculty researchers who can address their needs. Finally, we help the MSMEs and faculty researchers secure funding from different government agencies.
