Drug Awareness and Prevention Symposium

In support of Drug Awareness and Prevention Month, San Gabriel Elementary School conducted a Drug Awareness and Prevention Symposium with the theme, “Say No to Drugs, Choose a Healthy and Happy Life.” The activity aimed to educate learners on the harmful effects of illegal drugs and substance abuse while promoting positive values, healthy lifestyles, and responsible decision-making among the youth.

The symposium featured PMAJ Jackie Lou Quinto, COP of Iguig MPS, as the resource speaker, who shared valuable insights on drug prevention, the importance of self-discipline, and the role of young people in building a safe and drug-free community. Through an informative and engaging discussion, learners gained a deeper understanding of the dangers of drug use and were encouraged to become responsible citizens who make wise choices for their future.

The activity was initiated by the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Officers led by Daniella Gelaine Quinto with their adviser Ma'am Rosalyn Macababbad with the support of their school principal, Ma'am Marjorie G. Tumbali, whose leadership and commitment made the symposium possible. The event successfully strengthened learners' awareness and inspired them to uphold the advocacy of living a healthy, productive, and drug-free life.

San Gabriel Elementary School successfully conducted School Meet 2026 on September 8, 2026, with the theme “One Team, One Dream, One Victory.” The activity provided learners with opportunities to showcase their athletic skills while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and camaraderie.

The event was graced by the presence of EPS Edwin Catulin, Sir Ace Macababbad, Barangay Officials led by Hon. Joseph Petricio Salagan, and SPTA Officers led by Mr. Jan Berlin Manrique. Their presence and support contributed to the success of the activity.

Our appreciation goes to our Sports Coordinator, Sir Ralph Joseph Troyo and to all coaches for their dedication, efforts, and leadership in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

Learners actively participated in the various sports activities under the guidance of their coaches and teachers, demonstrating enthusiasm, cooperation, perseverance, and respect for one another.

The successful conduct of School Meet 2026 was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the school administration, teachers, learners, parents, barangay officials, SPTA, and other stakeholders. The activity strengthened the spirit of unity and reinforced the school's commitment to the holistic development of learners.

On August 22, 2026, San Gabriel Elementary School successfully conducted a School Clean-Up Drive through the collective efforts of teachers, parents, SPTA Officers, and Barangay officials.

The activity highlighted the community's strong commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and learner-friendly school environment.
