USLT Guidance and Counseling Center

In compliance with the advisory of the City Mayor, there will be NO CLASSES at ALL LEVELS, both onsite and online, on August 10, 2026 (Monday).

This is in consideration of public safety due to the expected traffic congestion in areas affected by activities related to the Tuguegarao City Fiesta, as well as the scheduled power interruption.

Please be informed that office operations will continue as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the opening of the Advocacy Fair at the BCJ Campus will proceed as scheduled. The activity will start with the blessing of the booths at 7:30 am. Please note that booth viewing on Monday will only be until 12:00 noon, although the booths will be open during regular campus hours from Tuesday through Saturday. All SECAP and SABH students are highly encouraged to visit and participate in the activity.

Everyone is advised to take the necessary precautions and stay safe.

As part of this meaningful collaboration, the Center shared its best practices in providing guidance and counseling services through a series of workshop sessions facilitated by Jade Michelle C. Pabalinas, RPm (Psychometrician), Ma. Haydee C. Guillermo, MAP, RPsy (Guidance Director), Julie Belle Uy, RPm (Guidance Associate), and Jaycee Deza (BES Guidance Head). The sessions highlighted the ethical scope and boundaries of guidance advocates, Psychological First Aid (PFA), objective documentation, and appropriate referral systems, equipping participants with practical knowledge and skills to better support the holistic growth and well-being of their students.

This opportunity reflects our commitment to extending quality guidance services beyond the University and building meaningful partnerships that empower learning communities. By sharing expertise and learning alongside fellow practitioners, we continue to advance our shared mission of fostering safe, supportive, and student-centered school environments.

Through their expertise and engaging discussions, our Grade 11 Louisians were equipped with valuable insights as they began their Senior High School journey.

Let’s be real, stepping into your Grade 11 era hits different. Our program was built around this exact reality: transitioning to SHS brings a wave of "What am I doing?" anxiety, academic pressure, and sudden emotional shifts. With the theme, "𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙: 𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚, 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨, 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙋𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨," we wanted to transform that first-day overthinking into main character energy by giving our Louisians a safe, student-centered space to discover their strengths and realize that they don't have to face their academic journey alone.
