Here are the official holidays for August 2026:

• August 6 (Thursday) – Special Non-Working Day in the Province of Cebu in celebration of the 457th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Cebu, as per Republic Act No. 8952. Under Republic Act 8952, August 6 of every year is declared a special non-working holiday for the entire province, including the highly urbanized cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu.

• August 21 (Friday) – Special Non-Working Day in observance of Ninoy Aquino Day.

• August 31 (Monday) – Regular Holiday in celebration of National Heroes Day.

🥣🌿 Nutrition Month Celebration 2026 🌿🥣

With this year's theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan," the Realistic Achievers Development School family proudly celebrated Nutrition Month 2026 through a meaningful feeding activity for our preschool and elementary learners.

This celebration served as a wonderful reminder that proper nutrition is one of the foundations of a child's healthy growth, active learning, and overall well-being. More than sharing a warm bowl of Chicken Pork Congee, this feeding activity reflected the values of compassion, generosity, and unity that our school community continues to uphold.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our School Directress, Ma. Regina Lucia E. Monsanto, for her unwavering guidance, support, and dedication to the welfare of our learners. Our sincere appreciation also goes to our dedicated teachers and hardworking staff for generously sharing their time and effort in preparing and serving the delicious Chicken Pork Congee. Your commitment made this celebration truly meaningful and memorable.

Please be informed that face-to-face classes are suspended on Friday, July 10, 2026, as announced by the Municipality of Tuburan due to the continued risk of ashfall and inclement weather.

Everyone is encouraged to stay indoors when possible, wear a face mask if going outside, and prioritize your safety at all times. Please continue to monitor official announcements for further updates.

Due to the continued risk of ashfall and the forecasted inclement weather brought by Typhoon “Inday” (Bavi), the 𝑴𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒖𝒃𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒖𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆-𝒕𝒐-𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒔, 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒉 𝒑𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔.

The suspension is implemented due to the following reasons:

1. 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐄𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐒
The prevailing weather conditions brought by Typhoon “Inday” and the southwest monsoon (Habagat) may affect wind patterns and potentially worsen ashfall conditions.

2. 𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐔𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆
Face-to-face classes will remain suspended, and schools are encouraged to shift to modular or alternative learning modalities to avoid disruption of education while prioritizing safety. (MODULAR ARON DILI MAGSUROY-SUROY)

Tuburanons are advised to continue wearing face masks (preferably N95) and stay indoors, especially vulnerable sectors such as children, pregnant women, senior citizens, and individuals with health conditions.

Last Tuesday, our school community came together for a meaningful Anti-Bullying Orientation, a reminder that kindness, respect, and empathy are values we should practice every day.

Through the film showing of I Hate Kate, educational student performances on caring for books, proper waste segregation, and caring for plants, our learners gained valuable lessons both inside and outside the classroom. One of the most memorable parts of the program was the Anti-Bullying Pledge and Handprint Activity, where students proudly left their handprints as a symbol of their commitment to promoting kindness and standing against bullying.

With the active participation of our learners from Nursery to Grade 6, together with parents, guardians, teachers, and our school director, the event was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our shared responsibility in creating a safe, respectful, and supportive school environment for everyone.

Together, we stand. Together, we care. Together, we say NO to bullying. 💙

📚📢 BOOK PAYMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

To assist our parents and guardians in preparing for the upcoming School Year 2026–2027, Realistic Achievers Development School, Inc. will accept book down payments as early as now and up until July 2026.

Parents who wish to avail of this payment arrangement will be required to sign a waiver/undertaking agreeing that the remaining balance for the books must be fully paid on or before October 2026.

Please be informed that any unpaid balance after October 2026 will incur a 1% monthly interest charge until the account is settled in full.

We encourage parents to make early payments to secure their child's learning materials and avoid additional charges.

The day was filled with important messages, a simple Zumba energizer, and candid moments of students as they lined up and took part in the activities.
