A Place to Learn, Relax, and Belong!

Wayangan Elementary School sincerely appreciates the support of the Local Government Unit of Tubo, headed by Mayor Hon. Liberty B. La-os, for the construction of our Learners’ Lounge.

This space will give our learners a comfortable place to read, relax, and spend time with their classmates outside the classroom.

END-OF-TERM PTA MEETING & CARD GIVING | SEPTEMBER 18, 2026

Wayangan Elementary School conducted its End-of-Term PTA Meeting and Card Giving on September 18, 2026, bringing together teachers, parents, and learners to celebrate progress and strengthen the partnership between home and school.

The activity included updates on learner progress and academic performance, school programs and projects, financial and resource matters, upcoming activities, and PTA concerns and action points.
The card giving also provided an opportunity to recognize the efforts and achievements of our learners and to keep parents informed of their children’s progress.

Thank you to our dear parents for your continued support, cooperation, and active involvement in the education of our learners.
Together, we continue to build a strong partnership for every learner’s growth and success.

TERM 1 - SCHOOL-BASED IN-SERVICE TRAINING

Wayangan Elementary School, together with Supo Elementary School and Supo National High School, participated in the School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) on “Empowering Teachers through Responsible AI Integration: Enhancing Teaching, Learning, and Competency-Based Assessment” held on September 10, 2026 at the Supo National High School Gymnasium.

The training brought teachers together in a meaningful learning experience focused on responsible AI use, enhanced teaching strategies, and competency-based assessment.

Ending Term 1 with a celebration of reading!

Wayangan Elementary School wrapped up Term 1 with a fun and meaningful Read-a-Thon, as part of the school’s continuing efforts to develop our learners’ reading skills and love for reading.

Learners from different grade levels took part in various reading activities suited to their age and abilities. From reading and listening to stories to word recognition, sharing what they read, and other enjoyable activities, everyone had a chance to participate, learn, and have fun.

It was a simple yet meaningful way to celebrate our learners’ efforts and progress in reading.

Math fun for every grade!

Wayangan Elementary School wrapped up Term 1 with a Math Olympiad, featuring different math activities suited to the learners’ grade levels.

From basic number activities and computation exercises to age-appropriate math challenges, our learners had the chance to practice their skills, test their knowledge, and enjoy learning Mathematics in a fun way.

It was great to see our young mathematicians stay focused, participate actively, and give their best in every activity.

Reading Starts at Home!

As part of Wayangan Elementary School’s continuing Reading Corner at Home Program, the school conducted its 1st home visit for School Year 2026–2027.

The visit gave teachers an opportunity to see the reading corners prepared and maintained by our learners with the support and active involvement of their parents. Their cooperation shows that developing good reading habits is a shared effort between the school and the home.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

Keeping our school safe is a shared responsibility!

On September 3, 2026, Wayangan Elementary School participated in the National Simultaneous Safety Drill together with our learners, teachers, and school personnel.

The activity was also made possible through the support and participation of our Barangay Officials, Barangay Tanod, and BPAT. Their presence and cooperation show the importance of strong partnership between the school and the community.

Through activities like this, we continue to strengthen awareness, preparedness, teamwork, and a culture of safety in our school and community. 🤝🏫
