ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 19

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 19, 2026:

📍 Abra
📍 Benguet
📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro
📍 Oriental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

𝗔𝗗𝗠 | 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗘𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗠

To ensure the safety and well-being of learners and school personnel, face-to-face classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School were suspended. Schools were advised to implement Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) today, August 18, 2026.

Following this advisory, teachers distributed activity sheets and worksheets to all learners to ensure the continuity of learning. Home visits were also conducted and teachers provide support and learning instruction to learners.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our dedicated teachers who continue to guide and support our learners, our determined learners who remain committed to their studies, and our supportive parents and guardians who patiently assist and encourage them at home.

| 𝐊–𝟏𝟐 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞-𝐭𝐨-𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Provincial Government of Abra suspends face-to-face classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School on August 18, 2026 for the safety of learners and school personnel.

Schools are advised to implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) in accordance with DepEd guidelines to ensure learning continuity.

This precautionary measure is also in view of PAGASA’s forecast of occasional to frequent rains over Abra due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), with possible moderate to heavy rains that may cause flash floods or landslides.

Despite the suspension of face‑to‑face classes declared by the Provincial Government of Abra (PGA) on August 17, 2026 (Monday) due to inclement weather, Caocaoayan Primary School ensured that learning never stopped.

📌 Through ADM — modular and home‑based activities led by our dedicated teachers, with the support of parents and guardians — education continued even in challenging times. 💙

Despite the class suspension brought about by the typhoon, the dedicated teachers of Caocaoayan Primary School personally delivered learning modules to the homes of our learners to ensure that education continues without interruption.

This meaningful initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to every child’s learning journey. Rain or shine, our teachers go the extra mile because every learner matters.

No storm is stronger than a teacher’s dedication, and no challenge can stop a child’s education.

Together, we continue to inspire, serve, and make learning accessible for all.

Despite the unfavorable weather conditions, Mr. Doro Jose demonstrated remarkable commitment and love for our school by taking the initiative to plant banana trees around the school premises. His dedication reflects the true spirit of environmental stewardship and community service.

This simple yet meaningful act will contribute to a greener, more sustainable, and productive school environment for future generations of learners.

Thank you, Mr. Doro Jose, for leading by example and showing that no challenge not even bad weather can stop a person determined to make a positive difference.

As part of our activities for the National Disaster Resilience Month, Caocaoayan Primary School conducted its Week 5 Activity: School Cleanup Drive.

Keeping our surroundings and pathways clean, orderly, and free from obstructions is the first step toward preparedness. A tidy environment reduces hazards and helps ensure our school is ready for any disaster.

Our pupils,worked hand in hand because resilience begins with simple acts of care!
