ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 19

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 19, 2026:

๐Ÿ“ Pangasinan
๐Ÿ“ Bataan
๐Ÿ“ Bulacan
๐Ÿ“ Nueva Ecija
๐Ÿ“ Pampanga
๐Ÿ“ Tarlac
๐Ÿ“ Zambales
๐Ÿ“ Batangas
๐Ÿ“ Cavite
๐Ÿ“ Laguna
๐Ÿ“ Rizal
๐Ÿ“ Occidental Mindoro
๐Ÿ“ Oriental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

To ensure the safety and well-being of learners and school personnel, face-to-face classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School were suspended. Schools were advised to implement Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) today, August 18, 2026.

Following this advisory, teachers distributed activity sheets and worksheets to all learners to ensure the continuity of learning. Home visits were also conducted and teachers provide support and learning instruction to learners.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our dedicated teachers who continue to guide and support our learners, our determined learners who remain committed to their studies, and our supportive parents and guardians who patiently assist and encourage them at home.

The Provincial Government of Abra suspends face-to-face classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School on August 18, 2026 for the safety of learners and school personnel.

Schools are advised to implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) in accordance with DepEd guidelines to ensure learning continuity.

This precautionary measure is also in view of PAGASAโ€™s forecast of occasional to frequent rains over Abra due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), with possible moderate to heavy rains that may cause flash floods or landslides.
